I'm not a fan of letter patch autos, but those ABA inserts are pretty sweet.

Hmm, the base cards look nothing like Prestige...

The Foil thing is nice, just because they used it before doesn't mean they shouldn't use it again. The inserts are very nice, especially the ABA ones. The Jersey diecuts are a bit meh, thought they were gonna be auto'ed only. Getting a ton of unauto'ed ones per box is a little ick. Redemptions are nothing new, Panini has already proved they're better at filling them out than crappy UD and Topps.

    It's their 1st Threads released, i'd give them a B for it.

™™™ is up with the diagonal hate?? IMO they're pretty cool.

what i meant, that the base looked like prestige and some others are the pictures. again, VC, hedo, charlie V are not in action poses but in photoshoot poses....i mean if they can get an action shot of Marion, why not the rest....

Thanks for the info on this product. I might just try a few packs of this one. Let me know if you see anything for the Rose insert.

    Thanks for the little preview.

Did you happen to see a checklist to see if any real rookies are in the base rookie set, unlike R&S (scrub rookies only) and Elite (no base rookies)?

So I guess the letter patch autos are the 'unique' element of this set...though I really don't get manufactured/fake letters...don't get the appeal of manufactured 'logoman' autos from their sets so far either...which sell VERY high on ebay (also cuz they are #'d to 5 I guess, but still).

It looks like Paninni products look the same. I'll probably try a box of this products because I like the jsy patch auto hit. I don't like the idea of having a die cut jsy. It would have been better if they put a face of the player together with the card. Just a plain die cut jsy looks boring. Thanks for sharing your pack break.

just to clarify, the designs are not the same but the feel/theme to it is.
you know like, you get a diff feeling when you open UD or Topps...its cards but not the same ... i dont know how to say it, not the same feel to both, both are different.

For Panini, it feels the same bc the cards feel the same. the pictures are not much different because its so early into the season still.

I get what you are saying, it's like opening a regular topps product and then opening a product like Bowman 48 or Topps Murad.

I say they branch out with more diverse designs next year, i'm guessing this year to establish themselves.

on the way home, went past the shop and saw a kid bust open a few loose packs and got himself a Letterman. Yes, threads does Lettermans, autographed by rookies. His was auto'd by Chase Budinger and it numbered to like 600. After seeing the checklist from the web, omg, most of them are numbered to like 600 and all look the same....

And at this stage, there is no fun pulling Dante Cunningham, Byron Mullens or Sam Young anymore.....

    i miss SP Authentic....

At least they're not #ed to/6225, ya know?

It's more of the draft class if you bring up that reason, because I bet it would be equally boring pulling an SP Authentic auto of those guys.
