    Show 2009, and Tell 2010

As this year closes and 2010 right around the corner,

    1) what have you accomplished with your basketball collection and

    2) what new goals do you have in 2010?

Any white whales? Busting a case? Taking a break?

Throw up pictures of your favorite pickups in 2009, and tell us what you're looking for in 2010.

My two best pickups from 09:

My goals for this next year:
I'm hopefully gonna pick up a Scottie Pippen auto as soon as I find one for a descent price. I'm also trying to put together Taj Gibson's last name from the new panini threads.

Well 2009 I got back into the game and if everything I have incoming comes in before the first I achieved the goal of having a 100 GU/auto card Nets collection.
My faves from the collection so far are:

My goals for the upcoming year are to pick up a auto of the Nets first round draft pick (Gonna have 1 or 2 most likely) and to become a super-collector of the New Jersey Nets!

Well I have no scans, but this year I was able to start off collecting very well. I am happy to have made soo many trades here and I am happy to say my Jason Kidd PC has expanded to 8 Autos and 34 GU in less than 12 months of collecting. I am hoping to expand my Kidd PC, and start working on getting a Lebron auto in the next year.

This year I was able to expand my Bulls PC to 1260 cards (1078 Base/Insert/RC/#'ed & 182 GU/Auto)

Some of my best pickups included:

    Two Pippen Autos

    Two Jordan Autos:

    A Horace Grant Auto

    And many others...

I was also able to increase my autograph collection a lot got some nice pick ups like Larry Bird, Garnett etc.

In the new year, I might have to take a small break, My first child is due in Jan 12th, so might not have as much money or time to spend on cards.

I do hope to be able to get the last Pippen autographics (96-97 version), get an on-card Kevin Durant RC auto, and autos of several players I've been targeting for months now (Reggie Miller, Ewing, Karl Malone, Stockton, Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Shawn Kemp, Penny Hardaway)

I'm happy to have added a HOFer auto (Magic Johnson).

In 2010, perhaps I can break 800 different Antoine Walker cards.

2009 was a nice year for me. I picked up my first autos of Tim Duncan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Julius Erving, Kobe Bryant and pulled my first Michael Jordan autograph card. All of which are on-card autos, btw. Pulled some autos of Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, LeBron James to add to my collection. I also bought my first case in early 2009 of 08'09 SP Authentic which yielded me my first Alonzo Mourning autograph (letterman) card and a sick Chris Paul 1/1 autograph letterman card. Also, in the middle of adding a sick, sick card to my collection that will be my most beloved card but don't want to reveal it yet until I have it in my hand. Also, I tried to put together my first autograph set from 09'10 Panini Prestige, the "Old School" autos. This yielded me my first Oscar Robertson autograph which is oncard. I have 9/13 autos in the set and am missing Frazier, McHale, Kenny Walker & Chris Mullin.

-Goals for 2010. Hmmm, hope to add autos of Patrick Ewing, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, some more NY Knicks autos (past & present), Hakeem Olajuwon, Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, upgrade my Clyde Drexler auto. Obviously hope to pull another MJ auto. Oh yeah, I'm looking to buy a case of 07'08 Chronology. Hopefully I pull a nice cut auto, Kevin Durant rc auto and get some old schoolers autos. Anyhoo, heres my class of 2009 that are in my basketball card collection, lol.

Great year for me, I was able to get my dream card, a 98-99 Michael Jordan Auto/jersey plus many other kobe autos. My main goal is just to continue to add to my Kobe and MJ pc.

Here's a look of my major additions

Basketball is a minor collection to me, compared to racing and football, so I really only had one goal in 2009, and that was to add a Kobe Auto to my collection. I succeeded:

For 2010, I'd love to add a Jordan Auto, but if that's not possible, a 2nd LeBron Auto would be nice for the PC!
