2009 was awesome for me - I started the year with under 300 KGs, I believe...I'm now less than 70 away from 1000 different. Began the year with ~30 GU, now I'm approaching 100...0 autos, and now I have 1 (don't laugh). For 2010, I'd like to surpass 1500 different, and I'd like to add more high end cards - specifically, autos, so I have a chance at applying for supercollector status. These are not as high as he goals that I set for myself last year, as I wanted to add ~700 KGs (reach 1k different, which I will fall short on), so I figure if I can do 500, I'll be very happy, especially if some are autos :-)

I didn't start trading until September of this year but in the time I have acquired 81 Auto's/GUs of Phoenix SUns players to go along with around 600 total cards. My goal for 2010 is to achieve Supercollector Status w/ my Suns Team Collection.

Thanks for sharing so far, keep 'em coming!
My collection milestones for 2009:
Michael Jordan and Bird/Magic Rookie Cards – This was the big one for me. I’ve wanted a high quality rookie card of these guys for years.

Chronology canvas sets – This set just had an amazing appeal to me, and it was a challenge to put together because of multiple big name autographs in the set.

Hall of fame autographs – I started this collection this year, Right now I have over 130 autographs of 50 different Hall of Famers.

1986 Fleer basketball set – Another huge addition to my collection. I feel like this is a must have for any hardcore basketball card collector.
Patch autographs – I haven’t really jumped into the game-used corner of the hobby, but I did find a few patch/autos that I really liked. These two guys are pretty good.

For 2010:
1. Collect the inscription variations for my Chronology Masterpiece Legends collection.
2. Collect an auto of each player from the '92 Dream Team.
3. Complete my partial sets, '72 Topps and '08 Exquisite Enshrinements.
4. Get one high grade RC of either Oscar, Russell, Chamberlain, or Maravich. These will cost quite a bit so I'm spacing these out over the next few years.
5. Add a Michael Jordan Chronology or Exquisite patch auto to my collection.Last edited by tarheelsnipe; 12-23-2009 at 08:54 PM.

No worries Nathan, everybody's collecting goals are different. 1 auto is more than none. 100 GU is a heck of a milestone. Good luck in 2010!

@tarheelsnipe: I love your goal of getting an auto of each member of the '92 Dream Team. Laettner and Barkley would be tough. I also need those two for my auto collection.
@garnett_21: There's nothing to laugh on what you have done for your collection. I agree with tarheelsnipe, 100 GU's is a milestone as it is. I had difficulty getting all those GU's of TD that I have in my collection. And achieving that in a year is awesome.
Here are my goals for next year:
(1) Reach the 1000 pcs mark for my Duncan PC. Get the best autos and patches too of TD.
(2) Add additional autographs for my auto PC and RC Auto PC (I am currently having difficulty in getting Panini Auto RC's because not that many are opening boxes/packs. Its proving to be a pain in the neck.)
(3) Find great deals on 90's Hard to Find Inserts of superstars esp. that of Jordan. My Jordan side PC grew leaps and bounds this year. And I want to keep it that way for next year.

My goal for 2010 is to scale back a little, we will see how that goes ha ha. I did obtain my first Lebron auto, and Jordan auto in 09, and pulled my favorite card which was a bird/magic dual auto /3. But my best pull, which was just passed onto a Kobe collector was this:

Some amazing pick ups all round for 09 guys.
I myself am going to try and cut back a bit and just try and finish a couple of sets i started working on being 03-04 Ultimate signatures & 03-04 Ultimate dual patches and also keep on the Augustin chase (almost 300 different Augustin's now!).
Best pick ups of 09? My whole bucket as i only started collecting again after 15 years in feb/march.
