Pistons/Pistons fans have no respect, Ben is the one who intentionally started the fight, Artest fouls hard all the time...EVERY good coach in america will tell you that if your going to foul someone...make it worht your while, make sure they dont get the AND1. I bet whatever idiot in Detroit threw that 1st beer is laughing thinking its sooooo hilarious, but what would've happened if someone would've gotten seriously injured? would it all be a form of entertainment...no, i would be a crime scene.

i dont think they guy who threw the beer is laughing... it looked as if artest caught him pretty good.. did you see the look on that guys face????
anyways, i was astounded on the espn.com polls on this situation... many people thought ben should get a 1-5 game suspension while artest should get over 10 games... WHY???? artest fouled they guy... got HIT, then got hit with a beer glass... i would have flipped on the guy too... then we got fatty in the sweatshirt hit players in the back of the head, i was happy (and am trying to find a pic) that artest drilled that guy in the face... think about it this way...
you have people coming at you trying to destroy you basically and you expect the players to be calm? NO WAY... how would you like it if you were at work... got in an argument with a co worker, then all of a sudden you have a thousand other workers in your face yelling, throwing beer, other objects... even a chair.. i would have reacted the same way... i hope the NBA sees this and doesnt over react to it.. yes it was a bad thing but maybe the people of detroit need to chill....
anyways.. i cant wait until march when the pacers destroy the pistons once again

The way I see it, the Piston "fans" were extremely disgraceful.
Put anyone else in the Pacers' place, and they would likely respond the same way.
Artest had a mob of fans(likely drunk) trying to hurt him. He is not wrong for fighting back.
Unfortunately, Artest will likely get a longer suspension than Ben due to his reputation.

The whole thing was an absolute disgrace to the sport. This is one reason why I don't like basketball much, too many punk players and too many drunken fools in the stands. I hope all the people, fans and players alike, are real proud of themselves. The 2 things that stood out to me was #1- the fans (who aren't drunken pukes) who paid good money to watch a GAME (that's all it is) be played w/o a bunch of crap and #2- the children who were there watching their "heroes" turn into villains. It makes me want to puke in my shoes. Way to go Pistons/Pacers and Piston fans.
Peace~

tutall - You are killing me!
I did not even like Jermaine O'Neal before today. But after watching him get so much crap dumped on him in the tunnel & even having a chair at him...I gotta stick up for this guy. He is my boy now.
The sad thing is (like they said on ESPN) is that some of these low-life fans are probably going to sue for some NBA money.

i really dont think it will be that much of a problem... think of it this way - they commited assault by throwing the beer etc... if they sue, they will have to have a tape showing them get hit which will also show them throwing or punching.. i dont know for sure but if i would go to jail to get some moeny, it isnt worth it too me..
but.... im now a HUGE stephen jackson and jermaine fan... dont mind artest either but i wish they still had brad miller to whoop some piston ACE
