    Glass Display cases

How much do glass dislpay cases usually go for (like the ones in card shops)? It doesnt matter if it has a light or not.

allstate manufacturing sells them. If you find a card shop or a dealer at a show you can sometimes buy them for around $50 used, that's how I got mine. Otherwise from allstate or 707sportscards they run 100-150 new.

i made my own... it may not look quite as good as it would professionally built but if i would have spent more time on it i am sure it would look better.. i just cut the shelves and went to wal mart and got some sliders for the glass sliding panels, then went to an auto glass place in town and had the class cut.. it looks nice and you can make it whatever shaqe and size you want

2 shelves and 5ft long? That's going to cost you a lot more than $50. I was assuming you wanted one of the flip top cases you see at card shows that are 24x36. Those run about $50 used and 100-150 new. If you want a big case and can get one for $80 that's a steal, buy it.

the only cost i had in it was the glass... the rest was made by plywood we had in our barn but i used no more than 1 sheet of it which i believe costs 16-18 bucks at any lumber yard... the glass i used was a plexiglass type material only clearer which my stepdad ordered from work.. it costs about 25.00 total... i would say from start to finish you could make one for no more than 50.00 and it would fit exactly what you want to do... if you have any plywood laying around that is still in good shape you are set

i covered the outside with a panel material that can be bought really about anywhere to make the outside look nicer but i dont think it would be absolutley necessary

eventually.. i want to get a bar and cut the middle out and replace it with glass to put some things such as signed balls and pictures and other memoribilia but first i have to get a basement :)
