The Manning man, that stinks. Plus the postage for the mini there and back.. Ouch. Maybe a check would have been the better route, you could have canceled it before it cleared. Sorry to hear about that.

The Peyton sucks, but you know better than anyone, when you throw up a hail mary with the high end items, sometimes you get burned. Sorry it happened to you.

Well, the bad news is, Hanburger had the wrong personalization and Manning didn't work out as planned.

The good news is, you got a new Hall of Fame Inductee, and a Peyton Manning signed photo for $35. I know that's not exactly what you were hoping for, but it could've been worse!

yeah your right.. Both are still great successes just not what i was expecting.

Mr. Riggs-
I just want to tell you I enjoy your collection that you share and the the chances you take in this hobby. I know it has helped me a lot in my collection. Please do not get discouraged; you are a great friend to all of us. Sorry about Manning.....he's definitely "slowing down" for the time being.

Thank you Deadhorse. I hate to say this but Manning has been the main athlete i collect & for the past year & half he has been automatic for me with whatever i send to him so i think i started to take it for granted. Soon as the season starts back up i will probably take another shot at it. I'll never learn. lol

Might re send to Hanburger, might not.. Not sure yet. Think im more upset about the $35 in exchange for the photo. I mean, He use to send those back for free with email request or auto request with no donation. But its just money & it does go to a great cause. Peyton has been very good to me the past year & a half so im not going to worry about it to much.

Thanks man... The risk vs Reward on the big items is worth it in my mind. I'll give Peyton another try later on.

Tom Matte 1/1, out 2-16, back 2-26. Great add for the my Colts PC collection. Very fast signer also. Really like these fleer greats of the game cards. They look good signed..

Peyton Manning didnt come through for me on the Mini Helmet but Not Big Ben!!

Ben Roethlisberger 1/1 mini Helmet, out 1-4, back 2-28. Picture really doesnt do it justice. Sent a silver sharpie along with it. Not sure if he used it or not but it looks awesome. I know its not unusual for Ben to return fan mail but i know he doesnt sign cards anymore so sent the mini. Its great returns like this that fuel the fire for myself to keep sending out the TTM's.

Where do you find silver Sharpies around here? I need a gold one too. Hobby Lobby? Maybe I didn't look close enough but the CF Wal-Mart and waterloo Wal-Mart didn't have any without buying a huge variety pack when I checked.

Wal mart had the cheapest price for silver sharpies. 2 for $1.25 or $1.50. or dollar store has them for a buck a pop but they display theres upside down so your taking a chance with those. Chances are good you will get one thats dried out & wont sign good. Gold pens can be found at hobby lobby. I got mine there but it was more like a paint marker.

As for the Helmet.. Its actually harder to display than i thought lol. doesnt look right next to my Colts stuff but oh well. really wanted just a card signed but i know he wouldnt sign that. If all else fails, I can give my oldest son the helmet. He's a Big steelers fan , Paternity test is still out!
