Now I here that the cavs also get a first round pick out of the deal. Im still mad though. I hate casspi, and I thought the cavs would get a better SF then casspi in free agency, which I doubt they will do now.

It's a FANTASTIC trade for Cleveland. Makes all the sense in the world. It's all about the draft pick. Casspi is just a bonus.

not really. im happy with the draft pick, especially if its for next years draft. but with getting casspi i think it is an excuse for the cavs not to get another SF in free agency. I hope our team isn't so bad next year that we will have to have omri start.

We definitely don't want it to be next years draft. Not sure you're understanding the trade.

Y not??? next year's draft is supposed to have the best draft since 0304. It's week with big men which we dont need (hence trading hickson).

Because it's lottery protected - we don't want the pick to kick in until 2014.

    It's a sliding scale - it's unprotected in 2014.

I'm not sure we could find a better SF in free agency though. Even if we could, we'd more than likely have to overpay, and we don't have that much cap room do we? I like the trade. Decent wing player and a first round pick for J.J. is not bad at all.
