Salmons
Evans
Jimmer
Not saying they are "contenders" - but that team could jump teams like New Orleans, Houston, Phoenix etc...to contend for the #8 spot in the playoffs.

I would've loved the deal if the pick was unprotected after 2012, but since it's not, I'm not a huge fan of the deal. You mean to tell me Casspi and a (probable 2015 pick) is the best we could get for Hickson?

i would have loved them to have gotten more out of Hickson...quite possibly their best player last year in my eyes....

You realize that they had to trade him by midnight tonight? They didn't have "lots of time" unless they wanted to risk waiting for the new CBA.
I'm not saying they had to rush - but they couldn't have just traded him in 2 months.

Nothing wrong with waiting if you're willing to wait the entire lockout. Obviously the Cavs wanted him gone in case the CBA changes.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong to jump at the trade - but if they wanted to start fresh with Thompson as the starter they had to move Hickson by midnight.
