One thing that has really impressed me with Panini's /99 rookies is that the patches for Hall, Skinner, Seguin etc. are straight from the Logo and not just number/letter patches. Makes them a lot more unique

Those are crazy prices for sure. Kudos to Panini for getting Rheaume, she has a very loyal niche fan base and I'm not surprised her autos are selling high. If I recall correctly her Masterpieces autos went high too.
I ignore everything Subban as those people are certifiable.
It will be interesting to see the Ovy LL when they come out. We have no idea what UD used for patches.

It seems Panini maybe took the extra time to make sure some "highlight" patches were nicely centered, and not upside-down (in some logos). I've enjoy that aspect of Dominion.

I do have to give props to panini on the care with their patches...but what I don't understand is how they can be so on with the patches, but can't get a cut auto right.
Check this one out...almost 45% of Paul Newman's signature is cut off. Not really sure how you can mess this one up unless they really just ignored how large Paul Newman's signature was and thought "hey, lets see how much we can fit."

Not only did they hack the signature, but autos on photos look horrible. The signature gets lost in the background.
If you can't get a decent signature that you can cut to at least 95% don't put that person in the set, it's really that simple.

damnn....looking at the sales of other peerless patches, i'd say this was a pretty nice steal

I think at this point, there is so much autos, jerseys and patches out there, people are just looking for something different. So big shoulder patch cards sell for high. Tape to Tapes will sell really good. People are just looking for things that aren't already flooded on the market.

Based on sales so far not that many cards selling over $360 which is about the price of 1 pack.

Wow! I can't believe the Gold only sold for $150! That would be a huge hit in a box.

It's odd....the cards are not selling very high and the publicized breaks have slowed down.
Honestly, when I see high end collectors either regretting their breaks or saying they are not interested in the cards that definitely steers me away from them. Unless it is a PC item.
Just my take, WAY too many versions of the same card.Last edited by Krazykanuk; 09-19-2011 at 10:07 PM.
