I would like to get into case breaks on BlogTV or something like that again but I don't know who to do them through anymore. There's a couple fellas in Kitchener who go by C&C that are becoming notorious for not shipping my cards whom I will not buy from again, TheTruth17 on Blog occasionally does breaks but seems like kind of a d-bag, and the other guy I used to do lots of breaks on Blog from no longer does them due to a new career. If you know of anyone whom you've had good experience with besides the above listed, please let me know. Thanks

Did one break with C&C , got Detroit in the random, actually was decent break for me but no major hits, never received one card in the mail .... never again.

That's how I feel too. First starting up, they used to ship cards all the time. Now I either don't ever see the cards or they show up all beat up. I don't know if they're too busy to ship out hits now with the big shop they built or if they just don't care anymore but never again will Cloutsnchara see another dime from me.

Who knows, it's happened to me twice in the last two months now and they just say that they aren't responsible for cards getting lost in shipping.

    I just did a group break of Certified;

I got beat out for the Canucks...sadly...but I had picked up 3 other teams for cheap; Calgary, Florida, and Dallas.

Well turned out to be a good thing I picked up Florida! (and to a lesser degree Calgary)
Got a throw back threads of Guy Chouinard, Masked Marvels Jacob Markstrom, and a Freshman signatures of Scott Timmins.

The people I've done breaks with have been reputable so far...so I hope I don't run into any problems.

Well the first time the cards did not arrive was a very simple mistake. When you changed your address we forgot to update it in our shipping system. Very simple and honest mistake. I'm personally not aware of a second time.

Now for all the blind bashing going on here I feel that is rather unfair. We have done over 600 Group Breaks in the last two years. At that type of volume there is bound to be mistakes no matter how hard we try. If we were purposefully not sending anyones cards do you think we would continue to do GB's every single day with many, many regulars? The notion that we're doing that on purpose is simply absurd.

99.9% of any lost/mislabeled packages is due to the same reason for us, errors in the User's profile (where we get the shipping info from).

    Anyways, just my 2 cents.

I have been reading and participating in this thread and I have to respectfully take issue with some of what you stated.
I don't think any of the members are "blind bashing". They are being quite public about it. Obviously, as it got back to you.
Also one member claims they never received cards in at least one of the breaks they were in and said that CnC stated they are not responsible for shipping. This claim in particular wasn't fully addressed by you with regard to any compensation.
Is that CnC's position, not responsible for items lost (or damaged) in shipping? If you either replace fair value for cards lost or refund entry fee spots, say it.
This forum and in particular this thread is a public access format and I see no one getting out of line, just giving their view points on subects. No one here is hiding in an alley trying to hurt you.
I would think as a business, you would take the opportunity to see if there are valid points in what is being said and make the necessary adjustments to your business.
    My 2 cesnts,
    James.

First, the topic of this thread is ebay breaks. Mentioning other options to these is fine and still on topic. Sharing your experiences with others fine as well and encouraged. Please keep in mind that there are going to be good experiences and bad. With the bad you may only hear one side of the story. Brad has every right to post his side after his sitecwas called out in this thread.

However, this is not the forum for that issue nor any others to be ironed out. This is not a Q&A thread for Brad and his site. If you have questions for him about his operations, please take it out of this discussion.

To get the thread back on topic:

As I mentioned in a previous post, I will not participate in any more ebay breaks unless I know (or someone I know or trust) can vouch for the breaker. However I have and will continue to participate in the breaks on Brad's site. I have had nothing but good experiences with his operation. The breaks are broadcast live and then the recordings posted for viewing - the way I think they should be. I may not always get a big hit or a great team, but I have had no problems with my cards - all of which have been received.

I also highly recommend SCF breaks when they are offerred. The prices are generally quite reasonable and you have the added peace of mind that they are being conducted by SCF staff! I've participated in several and have been quite pleased with these as well!

Having broke an on-line BB over eBay myself I think there are valid concerns on both sides:
Buyer needs to be able to trust the seller, and CnC has shown us that this can be addressed by opening on Blog TV and then later posted to Youtube. To me this is the new gold standard. When I opened a box for others that I sold on ebay I didn't have blog TV up and running, and as luck would have it my camera batteries died one pack in even though they were new batteries. All I could do was change batteries, and once I started recording again provide a recap and a current ebay time. That could've opened me up to a TONNE of issues, and looking back I I know I won't do it again without a failsafe. Thankfully no one said boo as what was supposed to be in the remaining packs evened out the box hits just like it should've. Even then... there was still room for complaints and I wouldn't do it that way again. If all eBay BBer's adopted this as the gold standard this might become a moot conversation.

FYI- Anyone who sells a BB on ebay MUST send out all purchasers something (even if it's a hand signed piece of paper), this is how BBer's get around selling spots on eBay. The key is that EVERYONE must receive SOMETHING, card or not.

Also a note for sellers- When I sold my BB online, I thought about what a buyer might do fraud wise. I considered that if two friends bought in on the same BB, that once one of them pays, they can all share the link. If the other hasn't paid they get a free view as to what they bid on without payment being sent. That way if they get nothing they save the cash. (feedback be damned at that point) As a result of this I refuse to publish the video link until ALL buyers are paid in full (Remembering that on a BB payment is due within 24 hours or you get a neg feedback). Once 24 hrs passes by all non paying bidders get a neg and everyone else gets the video link. Tough, but fair if you explain it all in the auction.
