actually I did some quick google searches for the heck of it.

    wedding with some photos

His best man was supposedly his half brother Malik Obama

    childhood documentary

Here's a documentary about his early years in Hawaii through the voices of his friends, teachers, coaches, etc. I haven't watched it so I have no idea about it, but if you are actually interested in answering your questions above you may try to watch it.

    biography

Here's some info about him on biography.com

I also think there are a lot of books out on the man that may answer some of these questions that you have.

I'll save them the trouble: Those were written by the damned liberal media and can't be trusted.

lol. I have no idea who wrote these, but just putting out what I found. The post looked to be a copy from somewhere else and not a direct post of the OP. I'm guessing that whomever wrote it probably didn't even do a quick google search to see what he could find.

Breitbart will release a video tonight of Obama from his law school days. No idea what is supposed to be in it.

You are pretty much the most reasonable lib on this board, so I have a hard time believing that you agree that Obama's past was properly vetted by the media.

There has to be a level of differentiation. I think his professional past was well documented. I know about his community organizing in Chicago, his time at Harvard Law, his being a professor at UChicago, and of course, his time in politics.

The personal stories were not as frequent as say, Bush or Clinton (I was only paying attention to these two former Presidents, so they're the only ones I can base this off of). But Clinton was a long-time governor/womanizer, so the stories about him were abundant. And George W's past has been documented since he came out of the womb, given his family ties. Obama came from relative obscurity, which is why I think people don't feel like they know him.

Edit: When talking about politics, "reasonable" is about the greatest compliment you can receive, so thanks!

We know what positions he held, but the media never actually reported about the kinds of people he regularly associated with or the radical views that he espoused.

Oh man. I can't tell you how many times I saw CNN/Fox/MSNBC/every other media outlet talking about Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, etc.

On behalf of all my fellow journalists, I apologize for bumping the stories from a 60-minute nightly news show and forcing this story onto 24-hour news channels that likely get twenty times the total viewership as the nightlies.

Seriously? The story was out there in the mainstream, period. Why does it matter to you which ones had it?

And I will never change your mind if you think he gets preferential treatment from the mainstream media. They see no wrong in anything he does. He can do no wrong. We will have to agree to disagree on the IDIOT.

    just wow
