They only do case breaks of new products, other wise it is a 20 box mix of 20 different releases. There is 2 problems with this in my opinion. The case hits may already be gone in all 20 boxes. Not that big of a deal but I think cases would be better instead of huge mixes. .

that's a good point. in watching their youtube vids, I've seen it where the case hit box may have been sold to an individual, potentially taking the air out of the box that is in the group break (or vice versa). but at same time, mixing up the boxes for group break potentially allows C&C to embed a couple of boxes into the group break that will never get sold individually. Pretty smart way of getting rid of unpopular inventory I have to admit.

i've done a few breaks with these guys and always that they were very pleasant and easy to deal with. Other then the fact it may take a few days sometimes for them to get the cards in the mail i've never had a problem.

I have joined a few of CnC's group breaks and I have a couple criticisms: In all the breaks that I have been a part of I have gotten hits.
But I have become more and more skeptical in a sense.

Not that big of a deal but I think cases would be better instead of huge mixes. Secondly, I know they are a business but there group breaks are way over priced to anyone around. I know that for dominion 10 spot draft it was like 250 or so when Doncieage was doing them for 209 I believe. Also if you have ever sat in on a night of there blog prepare to hear this for 5 hours, " come on guys 29 more spots lets fill this tonight". That is all they say, they just try and remind there 50 viewers that they have to fill this break tonight. Like I have said in the past for group breaks online either stick to SCF, or Chad Redfern (youtube/blog: thettruth17) This guy busts hockey once and a while when there is a release and he often does strictly cases. Prices are excellent, Chad himself is a first class guy in the hobby, and his blog room has some personality, he is familiar with all 150 of his guests as long as you are active in the chat, and the talk in the room is always about sports, not how many spots are left.

As for pricing, I've never even been to the site but keep in mind, they are a business and are in it to make money. On this site, Don isn't doing it to make money, he's doing it for the benefit of the members on this site (plus I believe he usually participates as well) so you get a cheaper price.

I can understand trying to make money, but compare their prices to other major retailers on the web and you find out just how hard you are getting bent over. Example:

Dominion- $360 on C&C, $280 on DACard and Blowout
Black Diamond- $105 on C&C, $88 on DACard and Blowout
ITG Enforcers- $75 on C&C, $64 on DACard, $58 on Blowout

That's just a few of them, just about everything on there is about $10-15 more per box than you can find it elsewhere or in Dominion's case, $80 which is laughable to me how high of a markup they have on that one.

I am just confused with your statement. You stated that you haven't joined a group break with them nor have you bought or traded with them.

You use to be a trader on their site. Their system is like all standard sites. The traffic in terms of what kind of users and amount of users are independent of CnC and how they run their company. So if you experienced a misfortune from trading or buying I don't think it's CnCs fault. If you encountered any problem here or HI you will get the same response. They will help you with the trade but are in no way responsible of you end up trading with the a bad trader.

A bit quick to judge and I understand you may have some bitterness of getting band.

They literally send out 100 packages a day and 1000 packages a week. They ship packages from across Canada to half way around the world. Imagine 1000 trades a week on SCF, you are bound to have the same number of delays as CnC experience.

It's as simple as that. You always see those 1-3 post asking how long mail was or why it is taking so long. It happens about 1-3 every 1000 trades. Imagine doing 1000 trades a week that is what CnC does.

Have to think of it in a larger perspective. They aren't sending trackable or xpress products every package. 90% are regular bubble mailers

Not to mention that prices of CnC are I Canadian dollars . DA and Blowout are in USD. And with the new Policy from UD Canadians are not allowed to buy from most US online stores

Have to know their cost to really comment.

    Yipper,
That would be fine by me and completely acceptable if it were random at all but as stated above, they make sure they take care of their own. People who are in their breaks all the time such as Vegas or Paulsamborski never experience these huge shipping lags and headaches as people such as myself and others who don't join breaks as often have. That is the main reason I left is 1) lack of care toward shipping and 2) it is way too clique-like over there with that Alex kid that works for UD, Vegas, Paul, and a couple others seemingly running the show and ruining it for others.

I think your statement in comparing US pricing and CAD pricing might be wrong.

You won't compare a Canadian car and an American car pricing. You don't compare US gas prices and Canadian gas prices.

    1) US is always cheaper than Canada being exchange rate, shipping, etc as all these are still US products

    2) US sells in higher volume than Canada thus cheaper prices... The market is a lot bigger. Hockey is a small part, these US companies sells more of other sports so they will get better deals on hockey

    3) They on a wholesale level get boxes at a higher prices, thus to make money as a business they have to market it at a rate they make a decent return

    4) The boxes they get after release date are not from manufacturers thus again they buy at various prices and usually higher prices

keep in mind with the people who constantly are apart of break, it probably makes more sense to ship to these "regular customers" on a weekly/bi-weekly basis instead on 4 bubble mailers at a time

and when you add up all the cards and value that is going out the door, it may go out as express

also good business sense is to keep the people who spend alot of money happy so they continue to spend alot of money

I dont see much of a problem if they bias to certain members (as long as it isnt at the expense of everyone else) - same goes for any LCS if you go in 3-4 times a week, there is a good chance that you will get some special treatment compared to if you go in once a month
