His name was Kyle and he received a couple of 09-10 ice premiere rookies and never paid for them. I believe one of them was the Tavares. As for the commonplace comment I am just referring to the posts that have been made in this thread.

    Known User ID's: kool_t

    Name: Kyle Murphy

    Known Email address: [email protected]

Reason for BAN: Was a very good member, before disappearing, leaving some transactions incomplete.

This is misleading as well b/c when talking to him his incompleted transactions totaled over $3000 and he had the habit of spending a lot of money at the LCS as well undoubtedly from the money he made from scamming people on CnC.

Something like this example you can not blame the site. You have to blame the seller. If I was to sell a really expensive high end card and ship the card before payment came in you are just asking for trouble. Every site has a list of banned members. Every site has had people rip someone off.

I find that eBay is the worst for it and they are the biggest. I very rarely ever get on here, HI or CnC when I sell or trade a card someone asking me where their card is. Now on eBay people will ask where their card is after a week or two. I have had a few times people contact eBay saying that they did not receive their card. eBay then comes to me and asks me for the tracking number to prove that I had shipped the item. I tell them that the item was bought for $20 and the shipping was just regular shipping and not registered. Bingo, eBay then sides with the buyer because the seller can not prove they shipped the card. It has happened three times to me and every single time it was a card that was not numbered that the buyer did not receive. Funny because those are the only cards that can not be tracked down when found online.

I think all the shady practices going on is more of a reflection of what the hobby has become and not unique to one site in that sense. Too many collectors are in it for the money and nothing else and that really is a shame. Sometimes I think I am the only person I know that's in it for the joy of collecting and nothing else. Money is the root of all evil and makes people crazy whereas I don't think I have ever made a profit on cards that I have sold and typically when I sell cards it's b/c I want to bust wax. Call me stupid or whatever, but this is a hobby to me and not something I try to make money off of.

Chakhae, I agree with your comments but I also believe that it is unfair when other posters have accused CnC of "ripping people off with their prices". If you get to know Brad and Geoff, the only thing they want is for collectors to have fun. Some members also have to understand that Brad and Geoff do this for a living and they have to be able to make money because it is a business.

CnC strives to have the best all-in prices in Canada. They even have this on their website: "We offer all Canadians FREE SHIPPING on all items and have the lowest prices in Canada on our products. If you can find a product from another Canadian Sports website (advertised and in stock) and their all in price is better than ours, we will beat it!"

Fair enough. You also need to realize that people will just bash on others for whatever reason. I admit to be guilty of this, but the people at CnC need to realize with as big as they are they will have haters. Just like for every person that hates on UD, Panini or ITG, there are people that love them. They need to keep things in stride and not take the hateful comments so seriously b/c at the end of the day they will still be around and nothing people say really matters. They should take it as constructive criticism and go on with their days.

Can you please send me a link on their site where it states that. Sorry not sure where to look and you could find it a lot quicker than me.

    Thanks,
    Jeff
