Interested to see what they will do with that pick, if Yakupov comes to Edmonton that means Eberle will lose his 1st line job, which could be a risk for his production. I wouldn't be surprised if the pick gets traded.

    Yakupov to Edmonton?

What do you guys think the Oilers will do? Draft Yakupov, or trade the pick.

Wrong wrong and wrong, on so many levels, same team gets # 1 three years in row ?

My bet is they will keep him, they will ask an arm and a leg for him .They need defence,a goalie and some off loading of the dead weight.

    LOVE IT!

Bring me Nail - No way this pick gets traded.

Hall and Eberle remain together as a wing pair, Yakupov can play with RNH. Let Gagner centre Hall & Eberle, and either Hemsky or Yakupov can shift to LW.

As for the need for a new system - I'd be fine with dropping the whole lottery thing, and let teams draft where they finish.... but aside from that - what more do you want? Bottom 5 teams have a shot at the pick, and all non-playoff teams have a shot to move up.

Which is different from the other 4 teams that were sitting at the lottery table how? (Granted, Montreal doesn't need a goalie.... but my point is that all five of those GMs were @ the TSN studio today becuase their teams are filled with under achievers at all positions, and dead weight)

My bet is they will keep him, they will ask an arm and a leg for him .They need defence,a goalie and some off loading of the dead weight.

absolutely no way edmonton should have gotten that #1 pick period, the list should have stayed the way it was.
