Schenn didnt "Launch", it was a clean hit. just like Vitale on Briere. If the pens want t take runs at our guys, their owner better not cry when his beloved captain ends up with another concussion.
And speaking of the cry baby, he better learn how to back up his cheap after the whistle play instead of running and hiding. Ive never seen a more gutless player in my life.

Again, I realize this is a trading card message board and not a "real" NHL message board. So, I'll dumb it down for you. Schenn launched himself into an engaged player, then was cross-checked by Asham. He laid motionless on the ice for three minutes- I even thought he was dead at one point. Then, he miraculously comes to his feet, enters the tunnel- but doesn't miss a shift. After all of this, he still refuses to stand up for himself and fight. Even Crosby challenged him and he refused. I think it's Schenn that needs to learn how to back up his cheap play and diving. If the hit on Martin was clean, why was there a charging penalty?

What game were you watching?
I'm pretty sure that anytime someone takes a cross check to the throat and then gets punched in the back of the head while laying face down on the ice, it's gonna take a minute or two to get up and make sure they are okay. There was nothing wrong with his legs, so I don't think standing was a miracle.
Engaged doesn't mean a thing, maybe he left his feet a bit (they never actually showed a replay of that) for the charge, but he hit him square without going to the head (unlike some other players out there on the ice).
Players get cuts and gashes and lose teeth and don't miss shifts, besides the fact that Schenn probably has more fights this year in limited games and playing time than Crosby has in his career. So you're "dumbed down" argument is actually just dumb.
Challenged by Crosby? Do you mean when Crosby threw rabbit punches..with his gloves on? And was swinging at him...with his stick still in his hand? Gimme me a break...Not a single player on the Flyers roster would back down from a fight with Crosby, they'd probably have to fight each other for the chance to drop gloves with him.

This is my point! When Vitale hit Brierre, and chaos broke out on the ice, many Flyer fans call the hit a cheap shot. The next game, Vitale backed his play up and fought the first guy that challenged him. Asham was sending a message to the rookie because of his style of play- not just yesterday, but well before the playoffs started. You know as well as I do, that Asham could of put Schenn into a coma where he would of been eating out of a feeding tube if he wanted to. He was sending a message. Anyway, I love the rivalry and this time of year. Everyone gets so heated. I had to wait 17 years in between cups, I can't imagine what 37 years must feel like and to get so close a couple of years back. Good luck!
On a side note: At HCDB's press conference yesterday, he said that "Fleury would be starting the next four games." Too funny!

"it was a clean hit."
Seriously? Then why did he get a penalty on the play?
"Ive never seen a more gutless player in my life"
Brierre. 2 years ago in the playoffs. Mouthed off and then slowly skated backwards until he was behind Pronger.
Crosby does punk things. Its one of the things I don't like about him, but the cry baby stuff is old, real old. He talks to the refs no more or less than almost any other captain in the league. Why do you see it all of the time. Because for every delusional fan who thinks he's a cry baby, or gets special treatment, or just doesn't like him, there are at least 10 who do.
EVERYBODY, and I mean everybody, in Philly talked about how much they hated Talbot in 08-09 and now they love him.

He got cross-checked to the chest and the stick slid up. Big difference. If he cross-checked him to the throat, he would have broken his neck or crushed his throat.
"(they never actually showed a replay of that)" NBC showed the replay a few times and he was several inches off the ice and angled. He launched himself, there is no other way to describe it. If you think that was clean, than you are a hypocrite for calling any other play in the game cheap or dirty.
