Ok so you watched the 3rd period... That's not the whole hockey game.

I watched the whole game, and parts of it that I had recorded, I watched again, and surprisingly, the Devils still lost 3-0.
If you think your team played that great, then tomorrow night when they play exactly the same, you will get the same result, a 3 goal loss.
I don't know how to tell you that your team was not close to winning game one.

The Devils had the better quality chances in the first two periods but Lundqvist made some great saves. Didn't see the third period though.
I like watching the Rangers play though. I don't get why people like Bob McCown seem to think this style of hockey bores hockey fans? I love it. This is real, tough, grind it out, sacrifice your body, block shots, great goaltending, huge hits, etc. Not a lot of offense like the Philly vs Pitts series in any of the NYR series but I have been loving the playoffs this year. Lots of surprises. Lots of intensity. Very exciting.
I want a NYR vs LAK Stanley Cup finals. Great for the NHL and should be a great series!

Who's Bob McCown? Is he a Pens fan, and only been watching since Hockey was invented when Crosby was drafted in 2005?
Rangers hardly play boring Hockey. They hit extremely hard, fore-check like demons, and admirably block shots. Having a comprehensive game and winning by only scoring once or twice is how Hockey was played for 75 years until the Edmonton Oilers came along.
The Devils and Red Wings put the train back on the tracks 7 times, and since then the American public and Gary Bettman have been trying to derail it.
Hockey is, was, and will always be about ......... Keeping the puck out of your own net.

Much better Devils. Changed the angles on several shots, fast puck movement to confuse and stall the Rags.
Great passing Devs. Didn't allow themselves to be controlled on the boards, and they were not pushed around.
Great effort. Torts is messing his pants now.

Tremendous game tonight. Some Beautiful saves by Brodeur especially with the back leg kick while on his belly. This entire playoffs has been a joy to watch (minus the redwings being forced out in the 1st round).

Brodeur was lights out in the 1st, and the 2nd, but the resilient Rangers hit him twice in the 3rd and then tagged on an empty netter, as Lundqvist shuts down the Devils. 3-0 Rangers win, series now Rangers advantage 2-1, game 4 on Monday.

Without Lundqvist the devils could be up 3-0 in this series... very frustrating series to watch as a devils fan.
