    Yes

How about the refs making better calls. The issue here isn't the players. It is the officials. They just need to start watching more flopping videos so they don't get duped into making the bad calls. I love watching a defender flop to get a charge only to see the guy w/ the ball score an easy bucket.

I agree 100%.... the refs are the issue. If a player is trying to win flopping makes sense if the refs are bad enough to call it.

Reffing is a very tough job- it is a complete different angle on the floor.

That's why there's three of them. Along with their knowledge of player tendencies through reports and experience. It's the old adage "fool me once". But if you're important enough, you can fool me again.

LOL, how can it be the referee's problem? It's not like they call FOR flops. on purpose. I guarantee you if they saw replays of flops, they wouldn't call them fouls. They are the best in the world at what they do, so why not look at the problem from the source?

Well obviously players will get away with it if they can. And if refs can't do anything about it, it must be done retrospectively by the league. If the league can review hard fouls and upgrade/downgrade them then they must be able to review tape of 'flops' and initiate fines/punishments for serial offenders.

Yeah but much like all the other rules, it won't apply when your stars are doing it...so why bother?

Ding! Ding! We have a winner. It doesn't matter what the rules are, until the mandate from the top to keep star players in the game things won't change.

Stern has stated multiple times, he doesn't want fans who paid hundreds of dollars for floor seats to see Lebron/Kobe sitting on the bench in foul trouble.

I don't watch much NBA anymore because the reffing just kills it. Sad, I really WANT to be a NBA fan.

+1 ... I don't think the refs deserve much blame, considering how hard their job is.

ghill33fan you are a Spurs hater seriuosly. dont be sad your team is at home. and yes i am talking crap about your horrible team. The Spurs had to deal enough of their own flopping with chris crybaby paul's backup butt flops, and his teachings to his team. oh and now its hack a Splitter. lol
