Congrats to Minny for digging in deep. They really needed this, whether it pans out or not. This can't be good for the Wings, who will probably look for a trade now. Lots of unpredictable moves still to come now that the two biggest dominoes have fallen.

Great move for the Minnesota Wild landing both Parise and Suter! Man the West is going to be tough. Colorado has improved, Minny has improved, Dallas has improved, Edmonton has improved, Calgary has made changes but I don't think for the better, and Vancouver will improve once they get a return for Luongo, as there is no point having 2 bona fide #1 goalies.

Time for some trades now that the domino's have fallen. Nash, Luongo, Ryan, maybe Weber, and some surprise players as well. Leafs need to make a trade and get a goalie. I think the market for forwards and defensemen in trade is going to be high. As it has been mentioned the framework was set in the Jordan Staal trade.

I can tell you he won't be getting close to Crosby money.

The two signings today are an example of what the Wild has to do to steal players from their rivals.

Basically throw Rangers money at them.

For the production, they are not worth their deals.

These are quality players, don't get me wrong, but the contracts are ridiculous.


I can see Weber being more reasonable if he wants to return to Vancouver. Sometimes it's not about the money.

Detroit might be after Semin and Carle now. Those 2 players seem to have been playing the waiting game for teams to come calling with big money offers after losing the Suter and Parise sweepstakes.

Please, please no. Semin MAYBE if we had him really, really cheap which won't be the case. Carle is a turnover machine and we already have 2-3 defenders that fit that bill on this team for a lot less money. Pass.
