I'm with the Jews, Yeshua ben Merriam was not the son of god/gods. He was a good orator and spoke to people who lived in complete fear of the Romans.

Which is why those people went to the Romans to have him killed. Gotcha.

the Jews believe they are the chosen people of God, so of course they were against what Jesus taught

I agree with the statement you bolded as well.
I personally don't think that science has or will ever figure out how we are created. I also don't think that the theories that science puts forth are done so as absolute. From my point of view the only groups that claim absolutes tend to be religions.

well because no one can explain where those two little particles came from the only logical response is that god created them.

Science says the only logical explanation is God did not create them. Anything else is a possibility, but not God.

That's not exactly the point of this thread.
I'm not trying to figure out whether or not god is an atheist because I don't believe there is such a god in the first place.
Basically, I'm trying to inquire thought provoking discussion about a deeply philosophical question.
I'm playing devil's advocate on here.
I've told you in the past that religion is NOT the reason why I don't believe in god.
Although it was a factor to my "deconversion", saying that I don't believe in god because I hate religion is like saying I don't believe in vampires because I hate the Twilight series.
The reason I don't believe in god (the major reason) is due to logic.
Also, I think you're implying that in my belief system I don't have to worry about hell and thus, it's a better system than that of the religious.
Hell is simply used as a control/fear mechanism to keep the flock in line.
I don't believe in it not because It's a way to shield me or so I can "sin"....it's because there is zero evidence for it and the only evidence we do have is that humans cease to exist once they die.
Why wouldn't they be able to understand it?
We understand many things about our Universe.
Why doesn't god revel himself and end the debate?
He's testing our faith....kinda like a game?
So god is a kid playing with his toys and it's his way or the highway.......actually that is indeed what the bible teaches, either get in line and worship or burn for eternity.
After all, a toy that isn't compliant to the toy user will be cast away.
Thankfully, I have chosen not to be a toy.

Science doesn't "say" anything. Science uses a method. The scientific method is used over and over again. Nothing is a fact in science. Its just theory that is used over and over again. This is why it wasn't fact when scientists way back when thought the earth was flat. Turned out they were wrong. Kind of like how the scientists today say that the universe was created by two particles that were just there. They hit each other and it was to be so. This is obviously not correct because the theory doesn't explain itself at all unless you go outside of science and factor in a creator.
You see science doesn't have any facts. All they have are theorys that are tested every time they are used in application. Don't get me wrong I am not against science at all but science has NOTHING to do with FACT. It never has and never will.

Alex I know what you've claimed in the past. I'm going by what you're saying now and eeverything you're saying is against religion, not God.

the issue is religion and God are not always together, some religions have no god or gods
