Other than actually opening the packs and resealing them, how does this seller guarantee a rookie patch auto?

That is exactly how he does it. It's a re-sealed pack.

So the person didn't pay, of course! I let them win a few auctions because I wanted to see what info they had on ebay. The address they registered on ebay is bogus! It is a Quebec City address but the postal code is an Alberta postal code.

Fast forward to today....... I notice that the original culprit 2012juniper365 now has a positive feedback from a
macklinhaig123 This macklinhaig123 person won 3 auctions of mine a few weeks ago and didn't pay for them. I hit them with NPB strikes and got my FVF back. I also left them "negative" feedback although it shows as a positive. The day I left the "negative" was the same day that 2012juniper365 bid stupid amounts on my auctions. Macklinhaig123 left positive feedback, and was somehow able to ship an item to a bogus address? How is this possible? HMMMM they are the same person, or are working together!! Ebay has been notified and are checking into it, or so they say. I highly recommend all ebay sellers immediatly block 2012juniper365 and macklinhaig123

I was hoping to get some advice from the good folks at SCF.

I won a redemption card from a US seller and his shipping to Canada was $10 US. I was hoping to save on shipping and just get the code sent to me. I kept asking the seller for 2 days and he wouldn't respond until today and he said he would only give me the code unless i sent him a gift payment. I didn't think it was such a good idea but i took the risk and sent him the gift payment. now he sent me a cancel request for the transaction and still hasn't sent me the code.

I told him that when he sent me the code and it worked I would cancel the transaction, which i thought was reasonable. Now he won't respond back to me when i ask for the code and he still hasn't sent me the code.

I'm thinking about giving him another day to get back to me. if he doesn't get back to me what else can I do?

Read that wrong, sorry. Gift payment is never a good idea unless you know who you are dealing with and can completely trust them. Hopefully it is just delayed in this case but best of luck.

It's not huge amount, 25 us, which is why I was hoping to save on shipping. If he said no I would've paid for the shipping but now it just seems he keeps pushing all the risk on me.
