Lieing is bad. It becomes especially problematic when you try and get people to go along with what you want to do. For instance, when trying to negotiate with conservative on immigration, if the President offers border security for a path to citizenship, a smart person would be leery. After all, if the President lied previously, why take him on his word? Is he going to unilaterally change the law and choose not to enforce some of the regulations like he has done with Obamacare?

It's funny how outraged liberals were last week that the Republicans would not just go along with Obamacare because "it was the law". They sure don't seem to have a problem when liberals refuse to enforce the law, like our existing Immigration Laws, or when they change the ACA without going through Congress by giving exemptions to favored groups and by delaying the enforcement of some provisions.

Fortunately, the teachers and administrators in this school district get to keep their health insurance, but there is bad news for the support staff and other workers in the district.

Liberals were outraged because the GOP shut down government which inflicted countless hardships on the citizenry all in an attempt to kill a law. A strategy that they knew from the outset was not going to be successful. I do not see many Republicans clamouring for "true" enforcement of immigration laws and those that do are too simple to realize the affects such an enforcement would have on the economy. The longer this whole "attack the ACA" goes on, the longer the Republican brand will be damaged.

Americans think about their healthcare different than Canadians. It is very important if a specific doctor is in your network or out of your network. Most Americans would feel as if their plan was no longer offered if the doctors they were used to visiting were removed from their network. To them it would be a different plan.
