I read it right and read the whole post. There are no excuses for his defensive play. You could put him on the Blues and the outcome would be the same. He is a winger playing defense. He is a risk taker. I love watching Karlsson but im not going to post excuses on why he is so "average" at that position. All I was stating was that just because of where he is team wise or who is out there with him doesn't matter. He has always played that way. Trust me, there is no bias here.

There are a few. Keith, Subban, Yandle, Pietrangelo, Suter........guys that can play D and score some points. If you want to see Karlsson at his best go back to last weeks game vs Boston. He didn't have a clue.

All 5 of those players are playing on the best teams in the league. Nashville is not one of the best teams in the league yet Weber is 1st in D-Men scoring and 4th in D-Men points. That says something for a player with not much in front of him forward-wise. Also, look at his goaltenders! Although Hutton is playing good as of late he is no Rinne! If Rinne wasn't injured you could cut Weber's +/- in half at least.

Exactly, same thing rings true for Karlsson. But I suppose it's much easier to just blindly look at stats and say that the guy at the top is the best.

OK, give 5 reasons why he is going to win. Most points is not a valid point also.
