Haha jclouie, he is probably sending the SP Authentic logo back to Upper Deck to say 'I didn't receive x amount of cards stated by the odds. here is proof of purchase!' lol
When I send a redemption I offer free shipping. Many people, for some odd reason to me but explained well by them, they like having the redemption in their possession and they pay for shipping.
To try and make money off of you so blatantly warrants the feedback they receive, or a message if you are willing to be so kind.
That Gretzky auto on the helmet is indeed bad. For me, it's easy to spot fakes. The auto could look different for sure, my autos are different depending on many factors. Then again.. I don't try to make them look the same. Signatures by the same person will have two things in common, certain strokes of the pen/marker and speed of that stroke. Even if 80% of the name is a bit different you will see the same pattern in the stroke of the main initials every time. Even different, the stroke itself is a give away.
I really do admire clear and concise calligraphy in an autograph and Gretzky has one of the best ones on the market. To some, even if authentic, if the auto is too different than all his others it will drop the price.Master List: Hidden Content

During my usual eBay scan I came noticed someone selling an Artifacts patch/jersey card and the patch looked very similar to the one on my card. I checked the serial number on my card (27/35) and, sure enough, the card shown in the listing photo is the same serial number as my card.
I know people sometimes "borrow" photos for their own listings, but, the seller lists the serial number in the description and it matches the serial number of the card in my hand.
What should I do?
Contact the seller and inform him that his listing is wrong?
Report the possible scam to eBay?
Nothing, let other buyers fend for themselves?
All / None of the above?

Report it to eBay and tell the seller that you just did.

Here is my eBay problem. Long story short.
I live in Canada. I bought a case of 500 padded envelopes. After shipping and import fees it came to $60. That equals $0.12 an envelope. So I bought the case about two weeks ago and it listed the tracking number. It was supposed to arrive yesterday. So yesterday I got my mail and I got an email saying that my envelopes were 'delivered'. It was as if it was delivered by my mail delivery lady. Now there is no way that she would carry something like that around all day. So I called Canada Post last night around 6:30 to tell them about my situation. They told me that it must have just been an accident that it was marked delivered and it should get delivered my the mail truck. She said that they work until 8:00 and most likely I will have it delivered tonight yet. There was no notice left by my mail lady to tell me to go and pick it up from the Post Office either. So I get up this morning and still nothing so I called Canada Post. Canada Post told me that it was 'delivered' and that I have to contact the seller from the States and they have to open a claim. I send the seller a message telling them about the whole situation and they told me that they do all of their shipping through Amazon shipping and to contact them. So I call Amazon and talk to their shipping department. They told me that they have it marked off as delivered and I must be one of those people who try to rip off the system and try to get their stuff for free and then get a refund.
So now I am out my sixty bucks. I am not sure if I should open a case on the seller on eBay as their product has been 'delivered' by Canada Post. I have gotten the complete run around and no one has been willing to help me and everyone just passes the buck.
What should I do next?

Wow! I've heard of the ol' Signature confirmation and sending a bag of rocks and also the opposit with returns, but this is beyond me.
Not sure how I would react to this situation since it sets a precedent. I'm sure I would react accordingly :)
I even recognize that name as someone who has bought from me several times. This is very interesting. Can we at least know what you bought or the amount is cost?
Good-luck,

Drewk86a,
Where did you get the card and when? If it is from eBay and anytime in the last 2+ months then there is only one explanation. He could have re-listed an old listing and previously sold the card and forgot about it. Okay.. a little out there but it happened to me. I was working out of town and got a free-listings promotion, but no cards in front of me. I ended up listing a few cards from my 'Archive' that I didn't own anymore. I have everything I've ever owned scanned somewhere. In my case I realized before anything sold.
Otherwise, it's sketchy. but how did he get that scan/pic?
habscards,
We need to know exactly what happened. You bought from eBay I assume? If Canada Post says it was delivered, they can only do this through the 'signature confimation' method. If you are not home they leave a slip saying to go to xoxo address to pick it up. If you did not do any of this it means you should be eligible to get a refund through PayPal.
That whole thing about Amazon is confusing. PayPal is partly owned by eBay and as eBay is Amazon's biggest competitor and vice versa it could not technically have happened without a middle-man being at fault. In this case, the seller.
If PayPal cannot refund you they will tell you why. Feel free to ask them any questions. If you find out why, if there is a reason, you have to contact them.
If you paid through eBay/PayPal and all else fails, ask them how to terminate your account and they will treat you with more respect.
Good-luck,
-
