    Where Is Everybody?

It is just me or does is seem like less and less people are posting here everyday. A year ago the hockey boards seemed to be very busy, now you only see a handful of posters make new posts everyday.

I this the hobby on a sharp down turn? Do people not care anymore? Is everybody broke?

It happens every summer. When the new season begins many of them will be back.

I will take a family break at the end of August.

Summer is definitely the slowest time for hockey.

I noticed that things were slowing down by the beginning of the playoffs, and not recently

I imagine the Bedard craze will bring in more people. I can say that the rise in shipping prices has turned me away from a few trades. 3 months ago + you could send pwe to Canada and all they cared about was the thickness/weight and it was cheap like $2-3 (prices in US), Then they cared about size/thickness but you could still send a greeting card/envelope cheap pwe for the same price, now they say that no matter the weight/size if it is non bendable (basically a top loader) then it needs a custom slip and custom slip is now $10 US for bendable and $15 for non bendable. That basically sent me to E-pack for most of my trades.

I used to be extremely active here years ago. Ebay taxes and Insane shipping prices have made this hobby miserable for me. I used to open boxes and cases all the time now I haven't touched one in years. The products are absolutely trash filled with a million rookie parallels no one wants. I used to open a case of SPA every year. After 16-17 I havent touched one. The product is absolute garbage now. I forgot to mention the Paypal taxes now thanks to our great president (sarcasm).
