can i get in with the lions? if not thats cool no big, would like to see what others think as well :D

The GM's have already been set in this thread.

SoxFan - I totally agree that the Raiders will take Long if he is still on the boards at #4. Al Davis won't be able to resist the irony of drafting the son of former Rainders D-lineman Howie Long.

With the fifth selection, the Chiefs take DE/LB Vernon Gholston from Ohio St.

Kansas City feels their draft slipping away as the four main guys they would like to get disappear before their pick is up. While a trade appears a strong option, league rules force them to make a selection in their current position. While the Chiefs have some glaring needs and DE isn't necessarily at the top of that list, with his ridiculous workout numbers at the combine and more recently at Ohio State's pro day, Gholston has been shooting up mock draft rankings. Anyone in the NFL can use a pass rusher. Gholston has questions about putting 100% into every play, but in 2006, he finished with 8.5 sacks, 49 tackles and an interception. Last year Gholston set single-season (14) and single-game (4) school sack records on his way to being named a second-team All-America selection. He returned a fumble for a touchdown and posted 15.5 tackles for loss (for a career total of 30.5). The Chiefs could surprise and go with OT Ryan Clady from Boise St., but this pick is too high for a player that would be available 5-6 picks later. Shortly after the pick is made, reports out of Kansas City say that running back Larry Johnson has been quoted as saying "Sure, he's big, but unless they plan on moving Gholston to offensive tackle, this pick doesn't make Larry happy".

With the 6th pick of the 2008 SCF Mock Draft the NY Jets select....

Darren McFadden Running Back Arkansas University

We are astonished a player of this caliber has fallen into our lap with the 6th pick. Much like adrian peterson was he is consider the best athlete in the draft. With Darren joining our squad we see our RB core as one of the strongest in the NFL. We considered other players such as Sedrick Ellis and Glenn Dorsey but felt we could not pass up Darren with this selection!

*** This is my own personal opinion but I would be very surprised to see Al Psycho Davis select anything other then McFadden if hes there~!
