With the 12th pick in the 2008 nba draft, the sacramento kings pick donte green.
Small Forward / Power Forward
6'10
225
We wanted a nice pg to back up beno, but we believed that many of the pgs (that are left) weren't lottery worthy. We were lookin at westbrook and chalmers, but decided to go with green. ron artest has stated he'd be back, so some may be confused. but we believe this year and maybe the next few years will not be title contending years but playoff experience for our young players. green will add another scorer. very pretty lookin shot, though some may say he puts up ill advised shot, i'm sure our coaching staff can put an end to that. and under ron artest as a mentor (X_X) hopefully he can learn a thing or two on defense. we believe once artest leaves/retire green can close down the gap on the loses. but when artest is here, we will utilize him as a pf, kind of like the way gerald wallace is, especially with artest, martin, garcia, and salmons hogging up the sg/sf. if green turns out to the player we hope to be, we'll be matching him and martin at the sg and pf, runnin back door plays, while beno or brad miller ready to pass.Last edited by underdawg; 05-27-2008 at 04:58 PM.

Its in and with the 13th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft the Portland Trailblazers select.........
Russell Westbrook
UCLA
Hieght 6'4"
Weight: 187
Pos: PG
This wasnt and easy pick but we are very happy with it. Steve Blake and the trio of reserves are not cutting it at the most important position in basketball. Russell has extreme explosion with or without the ball and a wonderful defensive IQ. With oden back we fell this could be the final piece of the championship puzzle. Joe alexander was an interesting pick here, however with russell still on the board we had to take him.
