Like I say, 5% is the goal. Unemployment is non-issue in criticizing Bush.

i think what he's saying is that we had a budget surplus when Clinton left office, not that there was no national debt

it is, as the president he has to make the economy or give it a chance to be better, but when you import more than you export then because of that all the prices on virtually everything goes up which costs company's more and people more everyone gets laid off.
being a republican to me right now you seem to fall in the steriotype of that nothing is wrong with the world and bush is god.
i think if you had to live in the shoes of someone on minimum wage or someone on pay check to pay check, your views on these issues would change. my mom makes good money that i don't need to worry about that, but it wasnt always this way...
are you telling me its NOT bush's fault that he continues to buy the gas at outrageous prices instead of trying to find other places or drill in the USA? because i know its his fault.
and then when minimum wage isnt going up but prices on food and gas do, that creates major problems. republicans don't care about anything except other republicans for the most part. have you ever met a poor republican before? cause i haven't, because they are on the wealthier side.
say what you want to say, but when you hear in the news every week of another thousand people getting laid off because bush has left the economy with little money to spend on things like new cars, you'd think differentlyHidden Content

Maybe if the federal government didn't tax a business to death the owners said companies would be more willing and able to invest in this country. If I remember correctly Cllintons budget surplus was theoretical, and when the dot-com bubble burst so did the surplus.
In a time of war a defecit is going to happen, spending is also out of control. The war will eventually stop, but will the spending?
Probably not, it's always easier and more fun to spend someone else's money, don't you ever get tired of paying other peoples bills? I didn't know George Bush signed the receipt for the oil we use, I thought you and I did that. The US is not the only country that buys oil, developing countries also want it too, it's rather myopic to belive that we are the only ones who buy oil, can anyone tell me exactly when the earth's geological forces stopped producing oil? Whether Bush is good or bad, ultimately the presidents job is to defend this country to the best of his abilities. It is time for the states in this republic to act in the best interest of its citizens and be less of a servant of a broken federal government.

Not a Clinton supporter by any means, but this is false logic here. So you're telling us that from the moment he took office right up until the 2000 election he was having sexual affairs? Come on now. You can do better than that.
