Obama has laid out how he wants to catch Bin Laden. Put more troops in Afghanistan and pressure Pakistan. McCain keeps saying he has a plan, but won't tell us. McCain apparently knows how to catch Bin Laden, but won't tell us! Obama isn't going to let ANYONE push us around.

You might prefer McCain's dad or granddad then....at least they were 4 star generals...McCain could barely cut it in the military
military is VERY important to me as well, but I want a strong military to defend the United States, not to invade other countries on false pretense

Al-Qaeda is building up strength in Afghanistan which is where Obama wants to put additional troops.
As far as Iraq goes, his plan is as follows (from Obama's site): "The removal of our troops will be responsible and phased, directed by military commanders on the ground and done in consultation with the Iraqi government. Military experts believe we can safely redeploy combat brigades from Iraq at a pace of 1 to 2 brigades a month that would remove them in 16 months. That would be the summer of 2010 – more than 7 years after the war began. Under the Obama-Biden plan, a residual force will remain in Iraq and in the region to conduct targeted counter-terrorism missions against al Qaeda in Iraq and to protect American diplomatic and civilian personnel. They will not build permanent bases in Iraq, but will continue efforts to train and support the Iraqi security forces as long as Iraqi leaders move toward political reconciliation and away from sectarianism."
He is not going to just cut and run in Iraq and say good luck Iraq! The war needs to end at some point. The Iraqi government has been urging us to create a timeline for withdrawal. They want us out of there just as bad.

Obama's friends will attack us who do you think lol jk Who knows really who new we was gonna be attacked by anyone on 9/11. I didnt see it coming did you.
The surge and gameplan that worked in Iraq will be implemented into Afgan, which Obama says will not work. Bull it wont. Put a general i ntheir that knows what he is doing.
I dont want to invade countries for the fun of it either. mcCain has learned from the Bush mistakes, he isnt going to invade unless need be.
If we remove troops from Iraq on a timetable, what happens at the end of that timetable if the country isnt ready to handle it themselves?
I belive we have enough i nthe military to still send more to Afgan. There are hundreds of bases in the USA with troops just sitting around waiting. Time to put them to work. We are big and stong enough to fight 2 wars at once.

Can you provide me with proof the surged worked? If so, wouldn't that mean we can start pulling out troops? Troop numbers are still increasing in Iraq.

If we remove troops and they don't have it together after their withdraw, then it is on them, not us anymore.

Im sure i could but im tired lol, its a fact the surge is working, attacks and deaths are down big time from what it was. The more thats their the quicker we can get out of their, as that is what we all want.
I dont want to be there untill i am old and grey, but i do want us there untill they are stabalized.

In regards to your timetable question: That is the very reason his plan includes consulting with the Iraqi government and our commanders on the ground. It isn't just a blind withdrawal that is set in stone. It's not ignoring the conditions on the ground. Also the reason for keeping residual forces there.
On to your second point. Know how many Americans have been sent to Iraq since the start of this war? 1.75 million. 620,000 of those have completed multiple tours of duty. We can't expect these men and women to continue to fight wars one after another.
