I know this has been a rule already stated in the official rules, but when will this "officially" be in effect?
if it isnt alreadyHidden Content

It already is in the official rules and has been for several months now....are people afraid to leave neutral or negative feedback?

that's what i was getting at in a way, actually according to the dispute team, they only want you to leave neutrals on extended shipping time, which is the opposite of what it seems Mike is saying, so i have always been confused as to what to do?

I think it is a good idea

This will require a negative UNLESS there are some circumstances. We can also make it business days.
The idea of this rule is to hold members accountable. I want to distinguish differences between traders. If you can't maintain your trades in the agreed time, then your account needs to be noted. This is NOT a permanent MSF either. We can have a way so a trader can redeem himself. Say 20 straight traders with ONLY positive feedback gets the MSF tag removed. Something like that.

If that is what the dispute team usually does, i think what Mike is proposing in this post is that it would be worthy of a negative from now on.

OK, i will do as told. so to get this right, if it is over 3 business days (monday-saturday) and is post marked after that its worthy of unpositive feedback? (personally, if its 4 or 5 days, i wont give them anything bad. unless they do this everytime i trade with them)

dont like the idea at all- as long as a trade is fairly prompt, why legislate a specific number of days on a trade? you are also putting an awful lot of trust in the PO- since they are not always reliable. Personally, I dont want to be checking postmarks on every package that i get in to make sure it was sent within 3 business days- if the trade goes pretty well, why make it much easier to give negatives? I know that if someone is a real slow shipper, I simply wont deal with them again- that doesnt necessarily make them worthy of a MSF tag or a negative...

Ed, i agree with you to a degree, like when i trade with you, since we trade alot, the 3 day rule i really wouldnt care about, because i know your prompt almost always, i think the idea is if its an extended amount of time EX: sent 7 days after trade with zero communication to do so?
i'm honestly not sure, i've seen this in the rules but no one else followed it so i never found it as neccessary. if the person mails it out within a week it's pretty much ok with me, anything over that gets a little frusterating with me.
Also if people get the post office stickers those are ussually easy to see the post date

my 2 cents, it seems like rule making for the sake of rule making, alot of these issues are common sense things, if you cant send for some reason, let the other person know, thats just common courtesy, people just need to be a little more liberal with use of neutrals if need be
