or Zach Randolph. I really want those 4. The Clippers actually have some star players on their team worth graphing.
I just keep getting there late due to traffic & family "emergencies" & stuff.

*ALMOST* Met Kobe
This happened a couple weeks ago. Wasn't sure if I was going to post, but here goes. I think you all know how much I want to meet Kobe, so this kills me.
So I've been hearing from people around OC for a while how they always see Kobe around town. (No biggee to them either..grrr.) So the other day, my wife & I are going to a local shopping center. As we pull into the parking lot, there is Kobe standing on the sidewalk waiting for his driver to pull the car up!!! Oh, man; what to do ... what to do. As quick as I could, I found a parking space (about 20 feet away) & hustled over to where Kobe was. This is the moment I've been waiting for; I was totally stoked! But as I got closer, he got into his car & closed the door. I missed him by I'd say... 10 seconds. So bummed!!! He was just standing there, totally chill. No one was around except one other person; KB signed a ball for him.
Aaaargh! I hope that was not my one & only lifetime opportunity to meet Kobe. I thought I'd post here, since I know you guys will understand how bummed I am!

I should have just dropped my wife off to tell him to hang on while I park the car.
Oh well, I didn't really have anything for him to sign. But every time I go there now, I have a Sharpie & my Lakers Master Collection card in my car!!!

Hey LakersMC, i'm from LA as well. But my friend goes to UC Irvine and she told me that Kobe goes to the Spectrum in Irvine all the time. But usually during the night when there are not a lot of people. Just to let you know.
Also Jordan Farmar shops at my dad's Albertsons and hopefully one day i can meet him and have him sign a card or two for me.

Hey, bro. Thanks for the 411. Man, people tell me they've seen KB at restaurants, working out, gas stations, Savons, all over. I hope I get one more shot; I got my card with me at all times now.
GL on getting JF5. You must be in Manhattan Beach.

Spurs players are a little harder to find around town, but once I was eating ice cream at TCBY and the Spurs team doctor walked in and I was like what the heck!

2/23/09 Clippers game
Finally decided to hit the Clippers hard (ie. show up early, try for everyone, wait as long as needed). So a report on everyone.
Jason Hart 1/1
Fred Jones 1/1
Zach Randolph 1/1; Asked him if he wanted cards of himself. "No, I got a lot. But I'll sign one for you."
Brian Skinner 1/1
Mardy Collins 1/1
Steve Novak 1/1; One of the nicest nba players I've met. Seemed like he was really glad to meet me (vs. the other way around).
Eric Gordon 1/1; Took me up on my offer to keep a card. Kept a Press Pass card.
Mike Dunleavy 1/1; First thing he did was ask my name, so he could personalize - which is ok with me. I offered to mail him some cards of himself. "Is it the one wear I'm wearing red on the Rockets? I got some of those. Thanks; that's nice of you though."
Al Thornton 0/0; Stopped to talk. I think he recognizes me now. I gave him another RC.
Waved at me but didn't sign:
Baron Davis 0/1
Chris Kaman 0/1
Flat out ignored me:
Mike Taylor 0/1
Marcus Camby 0/1
Missed b/c I was not paying attention:
Alex Acker 0/1
Missed b/c I was getting someone else:
Deandre Jordan
Ricky Davis
