I was also able to understand his post, and noticed he just forgot to type one word. People make mistakes like that all the time; it is not nearly so egregious as "Im intressted in you're kardz, plss tell me your going too trade with me" and similar remarks.

I agree. Abbreviations are fine. I also know some people aren't going to excel in grammar or spelling, but at least use SOME semblance of punctuation when writing. There is nothing harder to read than a really long run-on sentence with no commas and just one period when there should be many more.

My biggest pet peeve on the internet when it comes to this stuff is people who don't know the difference between:
LOSE = what the Lions do
and
LOOSE = What Britney Spears is.
It ranks right up there with the kids I coach who ask me who we are "versing" next game.

I just saw a thread and someone was offering a card for trade and I went to click it to check the card out and lo and behold there was no picture, just a link to his Photobucket. I can't stand Photobuckets, but a direct link to a scan is fine but there wasn't even that........that is laziness +1.
I'll tell you exactly how I feel about Photobuckets.
It's not very user-friendly to those without the high speed internet connections like myself. Most of them are designed poorly such as not adding descriptions to their scans and cropping up to 9 different cards in each scan. One can wonder why most Photobuckets are like this and laziness may very well be it. It's like asking someone if they've read the Harry Potter books to which they'll say no,but they watched all the movies. I'm not against Photobuckets as a tool because I have one myself. If someone likes a card of mine and wants to see a scan,I'll scan it,put it on my Photobucket and give them a direct link to it.
Some people say that Photobuckets are easier than text pages but for prospective traders,it's actually the opposite. On text pages,I can just type Ctrl and F,type in a name and I can find every card that person has using that name within a few seconds as opposed to looking through pages upon pages of scans squinting at tiny pictures.
I've had threads where I'm looking for my normal Pujols cards and I've experienced the dreaded reply of "CMB". What that tells me (other than they're lazy),is that they aren't smart enough to know what they have and I guess are expecting me to know for them. Not saying all Photobucket users are stupid, but seriously what am I supposed to think when I get these replies?

That's a very common one! A few others:
"He's a dominate player." (should read dominant; dominate is pronounced with a long a and is a present tense verb, not an adjective)
"I definately want that card." (definitely is perhaps the most commonly misspelled word in the English language)
"I wish there defense would play up to they're potential, but I don't see it out their tonight" (the there/they're/their triumvirate gets jumbled up a lot; in fact, some people just use there for every instance, as if they're and their aren't even words in their vocabulary)
"Your a great collector!" (there's this contraction known as you're, which is shorthand of saying you are; it may sound like your, but it has an entirely different application in the English language)
"I think he is a star player, to." (too is the adverbial word which means also; to is a preposition)
"I would have went to the store if they sold the product." (would have gone is the proper phrase, but would have went is now so commonly spoken that I've heard fricking news anchors use it, much to the chagrin of English majors and teachers everywhere)
"I seen some cool cards at the show." (it's I saw in this instance, and I have seen in others; I seen is never correct)
Okay, I will conclude this rant now before I think of other examples.

I couldn't agree more, I'll take a well organized text list over a crappy photobucket any day. Ctrl F is your best friend. Once you narrow it down then scans can be exchanged and go from there.

OK. So that means your complaint is not about photobucket itself but the people using it. My photobucket is indeed very organized and each card has the name of the player it is, and the description contains the year, numbered out of, color, refractor etc. So photobucket in principle is not at fault... it's the people who don't take the time to make it reach it's full potential.
