I basically just have this to say, I find it very humorous for some of the supporters to think that Obama was THE solution.

I realize he hasn't had much time, but so far its gotten worse since he got into office. Seems to me hes either blaming something on the Bush administration or trying to hand out money we don't have.

All I know is every day we wait to find some sort of solution the stock market continues to inch to zero ..

i dont understand the humorous part in any of that...

you said you realizze he hasnt had much time, but then you state how much worse it has gotten since he has been in office. if you can name one president woh has ever made a change this early in office that had automatically had a positive influence? it takes time, and sometimes even has to get worse before it can get better.

sure he blames bush for what has happened, and so is the rest of the nation. why shouldn't he. when he came into office he was put into possibly the worst or one of the worst situations you cna be put in.

it is just my opinion, that in a republicans eyes, or someone who does not support obamas eyes, i feel that no matter what Barack Obama does you will try to make it sound/look bad. if Barack Obama hadnt done anything yet in office, everyone would be all over him for not being able to fix anything, now that he has done stuff in office, you continue not to support him. heck, im gonna go as far as saying if Obama were to somehow fix a majority of the economy in one month, a lot of people would either say he didnt fix EVERYTHING yet or didnt do it fast enough. give him a break.

i think it is ridiculous to put, even if you didnt support him, that you still dont support him, not even as our president. just my opinion

I cannot and will never support anyone cramming legislation down our throats that will drive us to being more of a socialist state. Taxing hard working Americans and giving that money to people who don't work for it is exactly the opposite of the principles this country was founded upon. And that's exactly what our President is doing.

i said he hasnt had enough time to make a positive or negative mark on the economy yet. he has, however, passed a few bills and has done things that can work towards the future.

Actually, the tanking of the economy in the last couple of weeks is precisely related to the budgetary plans that Obama has proposed. He has absolutely made a negative mark on the economy.

Everyone will play nice or I will shut this poll down.

this is why the Politics board should be taken down, neither side plays nice

I do respect him. Having that desire to be in the know about politics at his age is commendable, and chances are he will stick out in a good way when he gets older. It's people like him that make a difference. I just think he needs to tone it down a bit. There's no need to be that self assured, especially at his age, and especially on a card trading site.

He has every right to be that self assured as you put it. He does not deserve to be put down or compared to a monkey.

It hasnt been that bad. Its gotten heated, but I can only remember one time there were insults thrown around on purpose. And that was in this thread.

probably because the other threads have been deleted completely.
I remember the night when Obama won there must have been tons of suspensions with the language and obscene photos. Its always been like that by both sides, against Bush, against Obama. This is the only board on here where usual civil members can get all riled up and start acting out of line towards others

I agree. The past few weeks there has been some good conversation, however this week it seems there is some new blood, which isn't bad unless you are not contributing.
