I think OKC will get Blake Griffen, but not til next year...he called me and told me he's staying to graduate...sooooo that leave Rubio to be first...i hope Hansbrough doesnt get drafted...hes gonna be another JJ Redick and see no PT

sorry i just had to fix that...

i read in espn the mag the other day that rubio (even if he is eligible for this year) will have a hard time getting in, because he has a multi-year contract with his team in spain. just wat i read. NOW, into the fray.

First off, to all you blake griffin haters...
    HE'S A LEGITIMATE 6'10!
just cuz players like earl boykins exaggerate their height doesnt mean they do that in college. Ok, so maybe he's 6'10 with SHOES ON!!! that means that hasheem thabeet is probably 7'3 with shoes on... and hears another thing. how is anyone hear gonna say hes not 6'10, when o wait, who has seen him play live before? as far as any of us know, no one except Filthy has. so until YOU stand next to him or near him, please, no more comments about his height. maybe he doesnt have the most developed game outside of ten feet. so.... whats your point... ever seen this one guy named dwight howard play? ya ok he got one inch on blake, and a little more athleticism... but hes averaging i think 21-14 at 6'11. so for anyone saying that he cant be dominant at his height, you really cant be further off. anyone doubting the athleticism? need i bring up the fact that he hit his HEAD (i think he came up with his hand on his temple area) on the BACKBOARD? id be surprised to find out how many people on here can dunk, more or less touch the backboard with their hands.... so please, stop ripping on blake, hes the best player in this draft hands down.

A 5'11'' guy at my dad's work can hit his head on the rim...I'm not doubting his athleticism, it's amazing, but it can only get you so far, and Filthy said he's 6'9'' if I'm not mistaken...

well first off, id like to say that that is very impressive... secondly he said, a legit 6'9, saying hes definetly 6'9, but he could be more. along with the athleticism can only go so far, im just gonna bring in dwight again. his athleticism gets double doubles night in and night out... granted if he had more of a game besides dunking he could do a lot more, but still hes 21-14 night in and night out. besides, blake is WAY more developed in the post then dwight. dwights getting there, but he's still behind blake. he just has an overall understanding of what move to use depending on what style the defender is playing him, which can take a lot of time to develop. blake understands how to split double teams to get to the hoop, and when a shot goes up, hes determined to get it. all of those are qualities of many of the big men in todays game that can truly dominate the low blocks.

just thought id throw this in. idk if any of you know about the lottery mock draft on espn, but ive done it over a 100 times in the past couple days just to see if i could get someone with a low percentage to get the #1. every time ive seen blake as #1. heres what i just got:

    1. Kings-Blake
    2. Wizards-Rubio
    3. Clippers-Greg Monroe
    4. Grizzlies-James Harden (if this happens, mayo/gay/harden)
    5. Thunder-Thabeet
    6. T-Wolves-Brandon Jennings
    7. Warriors-Willie Warren
    8. Raptors-Al-Farouq Aminu
    9. Knicks-Steph Curry
    10. Nets-DeMar Derozan
    11. Bucks-Jordan Hill
    12. Pacers-Ed Davis (anyone else surprised that they have davis coming out of college? anyone heard anything about this?)
    13. Bobcats-Tyreke Evans
    14. Suns-James Johnson

i think it sounds decent... but ed davis is a lot shocking... no lawson or ellington either?

They both have outstanding athleticism. Sure, Dwight is bigger, but Griffin is quicker.

Griffin may be quicker but i'm saying they play different, Dwight plays off his size and Griffin off his speed...how do you then compare them together?

    ok, ya lets see
    Dwight Howard: 6'11" 265 pounds
Blake Griffin: From what we've heard in this thread anywhere from 6'8-6'10 and 251. so dwights got anywhere from 1-3 inches on him, and 14 pounds? dwight really is not that much bigger... stronger? well from what ive heard i heard dwight maxed out on bench close to or over 400. im sure blake isnt that strong, but as the announcers in the ou-syracuse game the other day said, "tv does not do him justice, he does not look as muscular on tv as he does in person". MUCH bigger, no. Bigger, yes.
Much stronger, I'm gonna say no, but he is stronger.

my bigger i mean his mass not height, the mass of Dwight is noticably more than Griffin, and we all know Dwight is much MUCH stronger, Dwight is ripped, Griffin may look stronger in person, but i doubt he has the muscular strength of Dwight
