HE wont win the Vezina or Hart, but he'll win the Calder for sure. And I would still expect his RC's to go high, but even here in Columbus, low print inserts are not what people are after.

It is more about how Carey Price played so bad in the playoffs against Philadelphia, and now this year with stories outside the rink. With a good amount of money, things will be solved for Carey Price. For Chris Higgins and the Kostitsyns, it could be more problematic.

The summer is always a good season for collectors to buy at low cost, especially with the actual economic situation. The only problem for canadians is the currency exchange that could be worst this summer. Jonas Hiller is 27 years old, people won't pay high for his cards. Simeon Varlamov will get some hype over the next year. You will see the best RC and inserts cards of Steve Mason in The Cup in the $1000-2000 range over the next months. A Steve Mason with Calder + Vezina/Hart will gain in popularity for sure comparatively to actual value.

Hiller's recent hobby surge has been discussed here: https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=772611

As for Carey, there has been a continued drop-off lately, but I'm talking solely about that timeframe after the playoffs ended. Regardless of whether he played great and came up short or was so-so, when a team is knocked out of the playoffs demand does drop instantly.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Really? Wow. Is that the normal version or one of their many parallels? I don't know off the top of my head if they made Mason one of the SP RCs. Either way, that's a huge fall-off from what I'd expect.

I agree most people are looking for RCs, not inserts. Parallel cards are definitively not in demand. However his finest 1/1 inserts cards (not the plates, but his Shields and others) will go for crazy money.
