and how did they put the tying goal in?

A bounce off of Malkins shin, no skill involved it just hit him. It was a lucky power play goal.

    That's all I'm saying

and I'm quite ok with the loss, I'm not upset! I thought we were going to lose in 4 games, but mid weay through game 2 when we were the better team I could start to see it turning our way. Then Fleury turned it on. He was amazing and won you guys the series!!!

    Great work for Fleury

How many times do we see goals like that scored in the NHL? How many time have you heard "put the puck on the net and good things can happen?"
How many times have you you heard "if you don't shoot you cant score?" How many time have you heard "you need to get traffic in front of the net to beat a goalie you is playing well?"

Thats just a good hockey play, you create you own good luck.

    Thats all im saying.

We'll just have to agree to disagree my friend, which I'm ok doing.

I'm going with what I saw, plus what the Analysts saw. All i can say is, Fleury can't win you guys the cup, Malkin and Crosby will need to do better controlling the play and not just getting lucky bounces. All four of Crosby's goals were from a lucky bounce. His out of the air goal was definitely skill, and I give him credit for it, but Timonen misplayed the puck, and Biron is awful he's terrible and didn't catch the puck.

    That's all I'm saying.

But besides posting articles that show the Flyers were the better team for most of the series, I guess I can't win this fight. I've done nothing but congratulate your team and wish you well. If that's not enough for you, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

And please don't get me wrong i'm not trying to attack you personally, you have been level headed this whole series. what you have been saying seems to be the sentiment of philly fans and i just wanted to get my 2 cents in there.

No, I know you are not.

We are both making our points and defending ourselves. I love pittsburgh fans cause they share the same passion that I have.

What I do hate, is when people generalize philly fans and assume that we all complain. That's not true. It really isn't. The league just seems to point that way. I also hate when people say we have dirty players. Carcillo has been trying to clean himself up, and made one bad move in the series in game 1. After we got rid of Downie, we cleaned up the team and now we just play tough.

Philly fans cry and moan to the refs just like any team. Every game I watch on TV whether its a west coast game or east coast game the fans get on the ref, and in the message boards cry and whine about it. IF you have passion about your team, you are going to do the same thing.

I'm not a fan that hates on Crosby. He's unbelievable. He doesn't whine, he's not a baby. He just does what he can to lead his team, and I respect that. He and MIke Richards will be a great battle for many years to come, and that's exciting yet also scary. I know the Penguins haven't peaked. It's like living with Mario and Jagr all over again and the way Malkin can control the puck is just like the way Jagr did. Mario's game changing moments are now Crosby's. It's a sad thing in Philly, because unless we get ourselves a top tier goaltender, I don't think we'll ever get by Pittsburgh.

I didn't think we'd do as well as we did this year, and yes I do believe we controlled much of the series. Game 1 we looked like children, but after Game 2 the team developed their confidence and kept up with the Pens.

Congratulations, and I'm sure the team will get to at least the conference finals.

It sure will be fun to watch in the coming years.

How do you see the flyers addressing the goaltending issue?

I don't know where the flyers sit as far as the cap and what the free agent market for tenders will be next year.

I think we are stuck on goaltending. Biron CAN be great like he was last year in the playoffs in the first and second round, then the PEns last year were too much for our injured defense to handle. Like all great goalies, they have great defense in front who can help lighten the blow. I think Nitty would make a great back up goalie for any team, and Biron could be a starter for someone, but he lacks consistency.

The Flyers need to unload one of the "big guns". I would like them to move Lupol. While he can score goals, Giroux would fit great with Carter and Hartnell. I really believe Giroux is the best playmaking rookie this year in terms of his passing and vision. Carter needs a ton of shot. Carter scores when he gets a lot of chances, just like Ovechkin. With Giroux that line would now have a pure playmaker, along with a mucker/grinder in hartnell, and the pure shooter in Carter.

We don't have anyone in our system that could realistically move up anytime soon, so its looking like another 2-5 years without a true #1.
