they go by the mentality that if they can't beat you, then they'll try and beat you up. They're a very good team, but they have bad tactics/sportsmanship if a team has the upper hand on them. If a team is beating them soundly then in the past they have made ways to have cheap hits or take out one of the other teams players

Who would be behind this concept? Randy Carlyle? Or just a few players in general?

still everyone can get an advantage if refs are not checking and if Giggy and Hiller are so huge like you say they are you would think the opposing team would get them checked, but they dont because they are not as huge as you think they are. everyone pushes the rules to the limit not just the goalies.

It was kind of funny too. I'd say he wasn't being disrespectful, just common trash talk between teams.

has to be the coach. When the players like Corey Perry or others do something there's no recourse for their actions by the coach.

The only way to play teams like that is to knock them all into next season. Out play, out hit, and the fighters have to step up.
If the West coast games were earlier I'd probably watch more, and then get a real feel for the ducks.
But the only team I watch on center ice in the West are the Sharks. I like their play by play team.
