Overall you will get a better value for the PS3. I personally prefer the PS3 for the games, free online, and i like the interface menu a lot better.

I am so tired of people saying that 360 is more powerful than a PS3. PS3 has so much more power. I am also tired of hearing how PS3 has a lackluster array of games. There are many incredible games such as The Show, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Killzone, Metal Gear Solid, Resistance, Gran Turismo (which blows Forza away). It just gets old when there are people out there who have both and other people argue with them when they only have one of them. I am tired of stupid fanboys (the movie is good though). I am not a sony fanboy, I just have a lot of experience with both and have had a lot more fun on PS3 than 360. BTW, Halo: Combat Evolved was the only good Halo game in the series. 2,3 and wars all sucked horribly!

I have heard this argument many times and the bottom line for your issue is that yes, the ps3 is going to do better(going by your post on 250 for a like new system). The MLB the show game is going to kill the 2k series as mentioned. As far as other game selection goes, it all depends on what you want..

Metal gear is going to start on the 360 with the next release in the series
FF is also going to port to the 360 as well
Other than Alan Wake, the future for 360 exclusive games is pretty weak.

Demon Soulds(Not expected until Q1 2010 but another one to read up on. If you really wanted I could hook you up with a website to keep an eye on for an asian version)
