I agree that sale value is the not the 100% solution. It is best for what is selling. Meaning hot rookies, gu/autos, vintage, etc. There are many cards that just won't sell, especially base and other common cards. So, in the end there may be a need for a "book value" type evaluation. You can generally estimate the "book value" of a card, from the sale value of another card, but that is something I prefer to stay away from because of it being subjective.

This OPG will start with sale vales (or called something else) and likely evolve with other values being considered. We hope to have some MAJOR partners that sell 10s of thousands of cards monthly inputting in bulk into the OPG. Commons included!

Trust me, if you thought that the TTM database was sweet, this blows that out of the water. Like other staff have said, this changes the entire hobby. Some people will worry about the prices not being accurate, but that is why every SCF member controls how accurate the prices are. It's in the hands of you guys, not some other guys making up "estimated values."

So if i get this correct, lets say i sell a card for $10, i then can enter this into the database for the cards listing and it updates its sell value itself?

Mike can handle this, I can't give out specifics... I'm not sure how it works exactly either.

If you sell it on SCF and use the trade manager it will be updated for you. All SCF sales data will be entered automatically. There is no need for manual entries by members. This is for individual cards only.

The store fronts are being worked on as we speak and are in first phase development. Every sale from the storefronts will also be included.

I think someone also asked about the images. There is an option for the front and back to be uploaded.

But will it only update automaticly if we list all our cards in the SCF database?

It will update as soon as a price has been entered by anyone...

What will be good about your inventory is if you have the OPG subscription...the prices will eventually show up with your cards for you to view. This way, you can look at all of them at one time instead of searching for each card manually...

Very nice. I can't wait. From what it looks like to me, it looks like it will be very accurate and user friendly.
