I think Favre is definitely an upgrade at QB, but I don't think it's a good thing overall for the Vikings. When the whole saga was going on earlier, the Vikings players were getting tired of it and said they don't want him there if he's not going to be part of the team and go through the off-season with them. When he said he would stay retired, they put it behind them and got down to football. They finally had their team set and knew what needed to be done...now it's all up in the air again and they have this prima donna coming in, supposed to take over control of the team, and you know they don't respect him for sitting out training camp. I think this situation will work out about like TO does when he pitches one of his hissy fits....the fans aren't the only ones tired of hearing about Favre, the Vikings players are too.

That's just a lot of "if" for me to buy into. I didn't think the Vikes were SB ready to begin with. We can always speculate as to how he'll perform and what it will do to the team. In terms of his personal reputation, I think it's gone beyond tarnished. To go to the Packers' rival after spending 17 years in Green Bay? I think it's disrespectful for the team and fans that gave him so much support for so long. He was one of my favorite quarterbacks in the game, but his selfishness and unwillingness to accept that there is a life beyond football rubs me the wrong way. It's as if he's the only person who's ever loved football and had to have given it up.

There weren't many ifs to that statement, just basick analysis. As for the Packers, they told Favre not to come back and that they were sticking with Rodgers. Sure this saga has gone on a looooong time, but if he feels he can play, who is to say he can't? As I said, he played solid last season until he hurt his elbow

this isn't the Favre from 2001, this is the Favre who has been on a steady decline each year. While not a fan of Tavaris, he showed promise last year without as much receiving help as Favre had. The problem with Favre is with his ego he also still believes he's the Favre from 2001 that can make the same passes now

I want him to sign the friggin contract and be done with it. As a favre collector and long time supporter I'm souring on his should I/should I not BS. if you want to play just play. Now reports are coming out that he said no the first time because he would have been expected to report to camp which he didn't want to do. That's the mark of a premadonna right there.
