WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!! I am so happy that he decided to sign! This makes the Vikes the probable team to beat in the NFC - before you say "You're nuts", hear me out - a top 3 defense in the league, with the best d-line in the entire NFL, and one of the best corners in Winfield; the best RB in the NFL, and possibly the best overall player in the NFL in Peterson; a great o-line; a few decent WRs; and a great rookie WR in Percy Harvin - now add in Favre, and mix them all together, and you get an instant contender for the superbowl. I will say it now - the Vikings will make it to AT LEAST the NFC championship, if not farther! Quote me! lol

BTW - press conference is tonight at 6PM EDT introducing Favre as a member of the Vikes, and coverage will be on ESPN.

Why don't we just hand the Vikings the Lombardi Trophy now and forget playing the season, right? Great for Viking fans, and its reason to be excited, but I'd also temper your excitement with a bit of perspective.

There have been better teams that haven't won a championship, some in recent memory so I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch.

Plus, Favre still has a rotator cuff tear that can get worse, that's not good.

To counter birthday boy's happiness, this is one of the worst days of my life. Eagles are my team, but living in WI, I really could only watch the Packers growing up. Some of my first memories were with Brett Favre slinging td passes to Brooks, Chmura, Jackson, Etc. and now he's a Viking. Sharper did it to the pack, as well as ryan longwell, now brett did it. I am going to go to the Pack vs. Viqueens game and punch every viking fan in the face. WHY GOD WHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

I got 500 paypal that does not happen In fact I will make it a point to go with some brand new Viking gear on. College roommate is a season ticket holder and I will be there. Gone to a few packers games in my life with him and this one would be special...J/k ;)

Favre isn't playing for the love of the game. He is playing for the money. They all do. This idea of him being this 'Every Day Joe' has gone on far too long. At best he is a hired gun now. And just like the Jets of last year, after he is gone (which will somehow be after this year, 2 year deal or not) the Vikings will have to pick up the pieces and hope the QB's that have worked hard for a chance to play even want to be there. Talk about getting kicked to the curb.

Well, of course it's not guaranteed...nothing is...but, our chances just got so much better.
