i get what all you are saying. of course i wont trade if i know im getting ripped.
also i try to trade within a bv.sv. if the lebron card is worth $80 bu sells for $40-$50 i wont be trading 5-6 kobeGU's id rather just spend the money.
i guess its like one of you said, it all depends how bad you want the card, lebron is such an addicting player to watch and collect.

I disagree with those people who say Beckett is a bad choice to use. I tend to try to trade by BV. Unless it is for PC cards, in that case I dont mind giving up a little more to get my cards.

Go by sell value and personal value, sorry but there is no sense in trading cards with the same book when one is a star that goes for half and the other goes for .99 just wait and be patient and what u want will hopefully come

to narrow things down on how people trade....If its a star player or New hot rookie 9 times outta 10 they are going to want Sale value in return, Older players/Cards 9 times outta 10 they will trade by Bv because they know they aint getting any premium's for it, as for me as a trader the only time i will ever result in Sale Value is if there is no book value for a card that is in a deal other than that i will go by Book value 9 times outta 10 and unlike some people say to not use beckett or any other source of book value guide's i suggest you do use one i dont care which one but at least use one, no one is going to trade u a lebron game used for a carmelo anthony game used just because it would make them happy and coming from a carmelo anthony collector i can tell u i would not do it we all know lebron is worth more therefor you would need a little more in return (this is just an example) but most people are correct this is just my Opinion some may not like it some may but it is what it is....

I feel as if you are referring to me in ur first post. I mainly go by book value, but no I'm not gonna trade a BV$25 Lebron card for 3 rc gu's that are worth $9 each. Nobody or a very limited amount of people are gonna trade a high-end guy like lebron for a couple of low-end guys that'd sell for a few bucks. just my 2 cents tho

I hope you were being slightly sarcastic
Im curious when you pull a SICK Lebron Auto where is the first place you go look to see how much you can sell it for??? Do you come up with price on your own? Show me a person that doesnt open a Beckett or Tuff Stuff before they put items up on ebay to try and determine what they want for a specific card...
So if people use a publication to determine a SV how can anyone say NEVER?

I agree with you... (im not sure he mentioned anyone's id/name in the post) not many people are going to trade down when Lebron is involved.

95% of my trades are book value trades. They don't have to match up perfectly, but that's the guide that I use. The 5% of sell value deals are on deceased hall of fame cut autos, Jordan autos, Lebron autos, and the like..... with 650+ deals, apparently book value does mean something.
Thanks!
