    Ebay problems..normal?

    Hi guys,

I just ran into a problem with someone who said they didn't receive the card they won from me. I had no tracking on it because it was $16 and refunded the guy his money. He did open a case and it has been closed now by Ebay.
I have made almost 700 succesfull transactions so this has me floored.

Once the case was opened, Ebay put restrictions on my account and I cannot list or sell anything anymore. I asked to be reinstated after they closed the case and they denied me for xxx reason. They can't tell me exactly?

I feel like i'm being screwed over here and they even charged me the $15 store fee for December but due to their restrictions I can't list anything.
    Can they do that?

Once this clears up its goodbye Ebay. Any advice here is appreciated.
    Thanks

wow, I remember the very first transaction I made on ebay. I sold a card on ebay and the guy said he never received it. Went to a dispute and they won and got their money back (it was over $30), but i've still been able to use my paypal and my ebay accounts with no restrictions

Item not received was the cause for the case, no other comments. Thats all i've been told. I could see them doing this if I was being a jerk but I refunded his money following the Ebay case due dates. Just waiting to see what Ebay says about the Dec fees.

Once the item has been refunded (cleared back into his PayPal), then there shouldn't be any problems. Idk why they suspended you over that.

Yes, Ebay can do lots of unfair things. There's been a lot of cases I've read about Ebay and Paypal not being the most trustworthy companies out there...

On another note, doesn't it seem like anyone can claim they didn't receive an item (assuming there's no tracking)? My advice is always use tracking :/

This is exactly the case, and it's absurd. Domestically it's not so bad, but PayPal requires DIGITAL tracking, which means even if I have the label record, receipt showing the counter postage purchase, and can call USPS to verify delivery of an international package based on the LJxxxxxxxxxUS customs form number, PayPal will still tell me I have no proof of shipment.

What makes it absurd is the fact that it takes shipping a package from the US to Canada jump from $2-5 to a minimum of $15, just for the security of not having some ™™™™™™™ decide that he shouldn't have to pay for his purchase.

    Thumbs down

Talk about weird timing. I just had 2 buyers from Canada e-mailing me asking me where their cards are. Wonderful! One was mailed on the 13th, the other the 17th. The regular small green customs form I use, which starts off with LC only shows the time and date of when the Post Office accepted my package (it's not the registered mail one where you can actually track it, that costs an extra $11). I already told them to be patient, as things going up to Canada are taking well over 2 weeks to be delivered.
