All of them are. Never has a Tavares sold on the Bay for less than $50. Never.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I use to be a loyal Becket Follower and even subscribed to their online site. Untill last year when they changed the design of the form and the magazine went to one every two month issues. I have not renewed my subscription because in my honest opinion they are **** (fill in your one comment here). I miss the magazine from the 90's where it was about cards, the hobby and about the sport. And it was an actual magazine not like today where more then 75% is just news print.
From time to time i have still picked up a magazine to see what is comming up, or to have a guide next to me at shows to double check.. but now that i hear this.. i just makes me lose faith in it even more..
for shame beckett

Its absolutely crazy for them to follow this strategy. Based on Hockey love, Hobby love, Tavares should be just below Crosby, followed by the two big russians and then Stamkos\Kane\Toews... But ? I was worried about having to produce 200 bucks in book value, when I'm going to be able to buy one in a month or so for $25 or less... Silly Beckett. I think both Beckett and ebay have lost their minds. Maybe Upper Deck should price themselves?

Guys, I really want to keep this thread going so please PLEASE stop posting the Beckett values. It is against their TOS and our rules to be posting the figures for anything other than active trade discussions. We can talk around the numbers but cannot disclose the actual figures. It makes for a bit of a troublesome discussion, especially for those without access, but we are obligated to make do with what we can.
Thanks.

I don't have OPG but from what I'm seeing, I'm glad I don't. Now people will understand my reasoning when I quote ebay.

My apologies for posting values... I thought I was vague enough to get by ;-)

I don't get this. Beckett (or any price guide) should NEVER be adjusting prices. It is not their job to adjust prices or to set prices.. It is their job to report prices.
If a card sells for $200 on a regular basis, why would a price guide list its value as $50 LO or $100 HI ?? Because the editors don't think it should be worth what it's selling for?
I let my OPG lapse a while back, and had renewed it again for the last couple of months. I'm finished with it. The information they provide is absolutely useless. Checklists are handy, but I can get those for free.
