    Gary Payton - "The Glove"
    Damon Stoudamire - "Mighty Mouse"
Charles Barkley - "Round Mound of Rebound"
    Karl Malone - "The Mailman"
Bryant Reeves -"Big Country" There was a cool story 6 months ago about him playing in pinball tournaments.

Thanks for the update on "Big Country' - named that because he is from the country (country boy/man) and obviously quite big (7ft, 300 pound range).

All of the other nicknames have been mentioned here previously except Barkley's - I like that one too - 'The Round Mound of Rebound'

Not hard to figure that one out - he was a little stocky (rotund body shape - a little overweight particularly towards the end of his career) and great at rebounding and scoring, especially for his size.

The Glove - well-known as one of the NBA's premier defenders for covering the other team's star guard like a glove

The Mailman - because whenever Stockton delivered him the ball in a good position (which of course he almost always did) he would almost assuredly deliver it in the hoop.

But, as Jordan pointed out in a game, that fell on a Sunday, "The mailman doesn't deliver on Sunday's." What happened? Bulls won. :-)

Mathew Lee - 'plastic man' -that is a great nickname (Stacey Augmon). He was called that because of his long lean build and ability to extend his body.

    Exactly!
Long arms, lean and could twist and contort into all kinds of funky positions around the basket.

    Gary Payton - "The Glove"
    Damon Stoudamire - "Mighty Mouse"

That was actually Todd Mculloch of the 76ers...
Who knows where Reeves ended up?
