Washington in 6 over Montreal (Washington has not been a great playoff team over the last few years, not to mention Jose theodore is in goal...anyone else see a problem there in the long run?

Philadelphia in 6 over NJ (While Philly is weak in net, they have plenty of grit and talent on the offensive and the defensive side of things to compensate if NJ struggles on offense, which they traditionally do. I think Kovalchuk is the x-factor here; He scores, NJ wins, if not, it's Philly.)

Buffalo in 5 over Boston (I've been reading a lot about how the Sabres should almost be underdogs here, but I don't really get it. Rask has been great, but he's still a Rookie, with not a huge sample size and the bruins still don't score. Not to mention the injuries Boston currently has, and I just don't know how Boston will overcome it all.)

Pittsburgh in 5 over Ottawa (I think Pittsburgh is vastly superior in almost every phase of the game. The key to Ottawas thrashing of the Pens in 07 was the Sens got in the heads of the Penguins and they came unglued as a young team. Back to back cup appearances makes me believe that this won't happen again.)

see, I agree with you on the fact the Flyer goalies stink, but they are still better offensively that Jersey, even with Kovalchuk, which is big reason I think the Flyers will win this series.

WHAT!!! Did you just say the flyers have more offense then the devils?
Parise, Kovalchuk, Langenbrunner, Elias, Zajac! Name 5 offensive flyers players as good as those five.

    Briere, Richards, Gagne, Giroux, Carter

Kovalchuk and Parise are better scorers than Richards and Carter, But Richards is probably the best all around player on both teams....To me it's kind of a wash...

IMO the devils 4 lines are better then the flyers 4 lines... which leaves it to goaltending which is obvious

I think Washington might be a little to over confident coming into round 1. Lets just wait and see.

Parise > Richards any day. Parise is so much more well rounded than Richards. Richards Plus/Minus this year was -2. Parise? +24.
