sorry but your biased view is blinding you. The flyers have a better top 5 than the flyers yet no way in h-e-double hockey sticks do they beat the devils. Boucher is garbage.

Is it quite the interesting debate going on here.....
I would have to agree with people (yes, I am biased as a Flyers fan) that the Flyers' line are more complete than the Devils' lines. While Parise and Kovy may have put up more points than the Flyers' forwards this year, that does not mean that they are better, or the rest of the Devils' forwards for that matter. The Flyers have WAY more depth in their four lines than the Devils do.
I still think that the Flyers have better offense and better defense, while the Devils obviously have better goaltending.
Of course, it's just my opinion and not a fact so I'm sure I'll get knocked for it.

Elias: 58 GP, 19 G, 29 A, +18
Briere: 75 GP, 26 G, 27 A, -2
I think elias plays 17 more games and he gets at least 7 more goals so i say elias is better.
Zajac: 82 GP, 25 G, 42 A, +22
Carter: 74 GP, 33 G, 28 A, +2
So, Carter more of a scorer but Zajac passes the puck better i say this guys are about equal.
Lagenbrunner: 81 GP, 19 G, 42 A, +6
Gagne: 58 GP, 17 G, 23 A, -1
Really, so gagne played 23 less games and jamie has 19 more A's and 2 more G's... so Gagne would have ended with more goals but not anywhere near as many assists.
Oh, and where is Kovalchuk on your list? Who should i match up with him?
Also look at the +/- ratings on all the players greater depth

haha not that there is no bias there right??
But just to compare the stats:
Parise- 160G/175A/335PTS/+63/44PPG/2SHG/407GP/.82PPG
Richards- 110G/173A/283PTS/+28/31PPG/20SHG/372GP/.76PPG
Parise clearly has an edge in goals. But when looking at Points Per Game, they are not too far off.
Plus minus is a terrible stat in my opinion, and to me is more a representation of how a team plays defensively as a whole. NJ is a far more defense first oriented team with a world class goalie, who has been the goaltender there for the better part of 2 decades. What team is going to regularly give up more goals: NJ with brodeur? or Philly with Esche, Niitymaki, Emery, Boucher....You get what I'm saying.
I don't see NJ play a lot, but based on the stats I would guess that Parise doesn't see too much time on the PK. Where as Richards is seemingly always out on the PK, and has scored 20 SHG in 5 years, which I would imagine is one of the tops in the league over that time.
Honestly, you can't go wrong with either player. Both are great players, and I would love to have either on my team. But if I had to choose one or the other, I'm going to take the player who plays in all situations, has been a captain, and isn't a far cry offensively from the other. Therefore, I take Richards.

All I hope is that Theodore does well enough so the that the Capitals don't switch and go with Varlomov!!! I have Theodore as my goalie in my work hockey pool based on my prediction of a Washington vs Vancouver Stanley Cup final and unfortunately Washington beating Vancouver for the Cup.

I'm going to love revisting this once the B's win in 6. I just have a feeling. Nothing against the Sabres. But something tells me all those near goals the B's have missed all season arent going to be missed in the playoffs. Shoot even Michael Ryder is scoring goals!
