That's sort of what I was thinking. I would understand why you'd call it classy if he gave it to the kid himself or something but all he did was sign a jersey. You have any idea how many autographs he probably signs on a daily basis? Probably a lot. That's why I don't see the point of this.

I have no problem with Sidney Crosby at all, he's a nice dude and a great player. Its the medias constant attention and the forcing him down our throat that I hate.

Don't forget the Penguin fans who didn't stick with the team when they were down, and than bandwagoned. No one here I bet, but the fans who aren't really "fans". I have had long talks with some Penguin fans, and they think they have the best GM in the world. Anyone could of drafted who they did. The best 4 players were obviously top 2 picks. They get way too much attention, but it helps bring in ratings, so keep it going.

Meh. I agree with Steve that it was more the organization being the nice ones here. Crosby just signed the jersey - something he's done a million times. I also agree he is a class act from all accounts off the ice but on the ice he crys like a baby too much. He needs to learn that being THE star of the game means you have a target on your back at all times and crying to the refs won't do anything.

I respect you a lot as a trader but honestly he's talking about a whole different meaning of class act on the ice. I'm not taking anything away from his accomplishments because he is INCREDIBLY talented and is the 1a 1b top player in the world but the manner in which he carries himself is what people don't like about him. When he doesn't like something, he complains to the ref. It's a simple fact. Gretzky did it too. I just really wish he'd cut that out and take things in to his own hands like Ovie does. In my honest opinion, Ovechkin is better than Crosby ONLY because of Ovies physical play. No, I don't want an Ovie vs Crosby debate. No, I'm not calling Crosby a chicken. And no, I'm not saying Ovie doesn't do it either. What I am saying is that if Ovie takes a bad hit from someone, he will go after the guy and get revenge, like a hockey player should. Again, I'm not saying crosby doesn't do this but Ovie does it much more and he plays with such an edge around him. While I'm sure Ovie complains to the refs too, he plays so much more physically and I think thats why some people respect him a lot more. I like Crosby and I like Ovie too. They're both the greatest active players in the world. I just want to see Crosby stop complaining and take care of things by himself more than he does currently.

so having ovy run around and hit guys with cheap hits and get suspensions makes him better
thats what I hate about him, he has no respect for other guys
he hits cheap shots and is reckless, were as crosby takes his revenge on the score board and get the job done.
anyways its not about crosby vs ovy, by the way you know I will have to say that crosby is #1!!
anyways just my opinion and I aprreciate your and everyone elses, just remember that alot of players complain to refs everyday, just not as hi profile as crosby and he makes his point to refs and then takes his point to the score board and gets him team wins
anyways alwasy nice to see a health dicsussion about issues in the NHL
thanks
