Quick was about 10th in Goals against and 15th-20th in SV% - sorry not getting Carter for that.
I honestly think Enroth is a career AHL goalie, but figured I would throw out an insane trade offer like Quick for Carter.

not sure i would take Carter for Quick. $5M/year is a ton of money to pay a 2nd line center and then he's a RFA after that and will want even more.
would rather get a guy like Oshie @ 1.275 for next year and try to re-sign him, although i don't know if he can play wing. and the only way to trade for Carter would be in a multi-player deal...something like...
Stoll & Quick for Carter & Giroux
either way, it's likely Carter gets moved because Phily won't be able to re-sign him. they have a lot of money committed to Briere and Richards. i don't think they can pay 3 centers $5M+ each/year. plus they are overpaying Timonen at $6.3M and Pronger makes about $5M for another 6 years.
Carter is gone after next year - and maybe Gagne too - they should try to get something for him.
trades are about cap space more than anything else. you gotta know your numbers.

i'm not sure if your reading comprehension is low or if you just like to stir the pot but i don't think anyone said he sucks and i said that his fundamentals aren't great and that Bernier's are better.

Carter and Giroux are young guys, who can produce. Last I check, they have Emery, Boucher (who is doing well). They wouldn't give up Giroux and Carter for Stoll and a goalie that they don't really need. Maybe if it was Carter for Quick and a draft pick. But throwing in Giroux and Stoll puts the Kings at a bigger advantage.
