This thread is funny.
We all know, at this point in time, it is beyond comical to invest money into UD products until they actually go live.
It's floating them a short term loan. This is something I mentioned almost 2 years ago and I stand by it.
My theory was/is, they take the preorder money for said product, pay the athletes, get the sigs, and pack out, taking the remaining for salaries, overhead, materials, etc, basically settling their debts.
I think it makes perfect sense and seeing as they have laid off so many and lost all these licenses, obviously the red tape caught up to them and they are now way behind to their debtors.
Pre-ordering now (and when I say now I mean in the past 30 days or so) is for the uninformed and crazed.
Oh, by the way Jeremy, stop trying to sound like you know something about this hobby.
Admit it, you're out of your league, I have all the knowledge!

That is a wise move. I did do that, but it got within a couple of weeks of the alleged release date and paid it in ful so as to not delay shipping due to lack of payment. Of course, it was right around that time that UD announces a delay.
Such is life. Still looking forward to SPA when it is released.

i only ordered a lone box, and its cheaper to get the preorder price than pay when its available. the difference of paying a few months in advance definitely works out to be cheaper, but i could go on and on. im not sure if i agree with them charging CCs on a product that has a soft or unknown release date.

what so it is a bad thing to support the biggest and best card company. Everyone that is pre ording is doing so because thay like this product so if my preordering or anyone elses is gonna help them then good i hope it does. i dont mind giving them a loan even though i dont agrree with you theory as long as i get what i paid for in return no harm no foul and if i can get it cheaper by preordering why would i or anyone else not do it it makes no sense not toLast edited by gilp11; 05-30-2010 at 12:59 PM. Same here, I've got 3 boxes of SPA on pre-order that I'm splitting with another member here then 2 more for myself. I can't wait for those in this forum who continually drag UD's name through the mud(notice I left GOOD out before UD) snatch this stuff up, happens every time. Oh such and such a product has been delayed X amount of times for so long and it looks like crap, I won't touch it, then when the release date rolls around you see 1/2 case of product X break from the same person in the box break forums...

I agree that UD should come out and tell the customer EXACTLY what the hold up is. Honesty is what creates loyalty. Hiding the facts and being too vague just creates unnecessary speculation and borderline mutiny. I think we all know UD is in a tight spot right now. I think we all know that they are behind on their product timelines. Why? We will never know the truth. No matter how many sources you have, or tours of the facilities you've taken, they will never just tell us their reasons or allow that truth to filter out to the public and the competition that has already hit them hard in the pocket book by taking exclusivity away from UD. Thats quite obvious now......
