I'll say this for the time being: if they get some Josh Gorges memorabilia and/or autos, they'll get my bucks. :)
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Thats pretty funny. You havent seen a sell sheet, you havent seen ANY designs and you havent bought any panini hockey products and you arent impressed. Maybe we should wait until, i dont know maybe 1 product is out before judging them?
Btw Ud, Topps and ITG all do multiple parallels still.

All the products i have seen of football and basketball are similiar in design, Certified, Absolute, R&S, Threads...i can't imagine they will go radically different in hockey

Even so he should wait until checklists come out and he actually sees the product before saying there are too many parallels. Every set by every company has lots of parallels.

I have liked the Panini products for basketball so far. It's simply refreshing to get new looking cards and a product from someone other than UD. Cant wait for their hockey releases.

Would be nice if they got some exclusive rights to hard to find autos like Sakic, Yzerman, etc....THAT would definitely get some interest!

Parallels are fun IMO. Don't mind them, kind of fun getting a low number parallel actually. I don't think you'd complain pulling a PC or Crosby /25 parallel.

I bought a box of Rookies & Stars basketball and was really impressed with the design of the cards. However each of their basketball sets look really similar to each which I don't like. Parallels are fine and all companies do them. Easy way to try and add some value without costing the company too much money. UD does tonnes of parallels, so do Topps, and ITG as well.

I'm curious to see if Panini uses any other ideas I gave them without paying me or giving me any credit for them.

Long story.
